“....fiance.....”
(Hello! I just wanted to ask, What would you say about Cor's relationships with Noctis, Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto?)
(Hello! Hmm, I could say a lot, and I probably will if you see how I write headcanons, so I’ll just go ahead and write a little meta for each of them. ;3;
Noctis -- He feels a lot of responsibility towards Noctis. Cor swore himself to Regis, but he knows Regis cannot live forever, and watching his best friend slowly deteriorate has been nothing short of mildly horrifying. Seeing Regis grow weak and ill and age quickly has been on his mind often. Regis never told him what would happen to Noctis, I assume that Cor never learned the prophecy, and when Regis was gone, he felt horrifically guilty over being a failure to the Caelum’s.
Cor doesn’t feel like he can allow himself to wallow in misery and pity, especially after his failure. So he tries to make sure Noctis doesn’t wallow either. He knows that his father’s death is going to be a huge blow, so he basically decided he needed to pick Noctis up, dust him off, and point him in the right direction. Which is why Cor told him to collect the Armiger, even though he had no idea that Armiger’s actually suck the life out of the wielder. If Cor knew the fate of Noctis and what would happen... I’m not sure what he’d do. I think part of him would give up inside. Cor will never not feel like he failed the Caelum’s, the one group he swore himself to. He couldn’t save Aulea from the accident, he couldn’t save Regis from the Niffs, he couldn’t save Noctis from his destiny. He believed it was because he was weak, and he’ll probably always think it is because he was weak.
Cor never gets to see Noctis after the ten years, and the other boys tell him what happened at the Citadel. Cor only learned what Noctis’s prophecy was after Noctis has completed it. The country of Lucis loses their whole monarchy, and really, there’s nothing much left for him. There’s no crown to guard, so he’s not a Marshal anymore, he’s just a daemonslayer. Not much else left to do. Cor kept on living, I’m not trying to imply he ended his life over the Caelum’s, but he’ll never stop carrying that guilt, he will carry it to his grave.
Gladiolus -- Something I didn’t mention about Noctis is he was there when Noctis and Gladio were both born, but he kept his distance pretty significantly. Clarus and Regis were Cor’s best friend, but due to my headcanon with Cor having chronic PTSD issues, he kept his distance from children. Gladiolus and Noctis didn’t actually know Cor until they were around middle school age. They saw him, sometimes Cor would be at a party, or a small gathering, and the two would sort of whisper about him like some mysterious badass figure.
I actually wrote a small fic about why Clarus kept Gladio away from Cor, but I was too nervous to post it. I was afraid it would be misinterpreted as Cor was just some abusive asshole, which was not what I was going for, but it doesn’t matter, I deleted it so it doesn’t even exist :p But Gladiolus and Cor didn’t meet often. When Gladiolus started to train more, Cor was introduced, and basically, Clarus told him they couldn’t train until Gladio had come a lot farther, leading him to think even more so that Cor was some badass, but, he eventually figured out that Cor is just a regular weirdo human, though he still gives Cor a lot of props.
If you were curious, Gladio, in my headcanon, was very eager to learn how to fight, and would take the swords when nobody was looking and try to practice, so, in the mini-fic I wrote, Cor purposefully injured Gladio with a sword and caused him to start crying (he was like six years old) because Cor wanted him to realize that swords hurt, and he couldn’t keep playing around like that. He basically said “These are made for hurting and killing. Do you understand what you’re doing?”
Clarus was just about this close to probably beating the shit out of Cor for hurting his kid, but he just took Gladiolus away instead. (That’s also when they realize Cor probably shouldn’t be around the kids until they get older.) Cor had good intentions, but, hurting a six year old is not exactly the proper way to do it.
Gladiolus kind of remembers this, but he doesn’t hold any grief towards Cor, mostly Clarus does. Iris, just to briefly mention, he never saw her very much, but when the sun disappeared, he was very protective of her, and actually a bit protective of Gladio. Since the two both lost their father, he wanted them to know he’d be there for them. He wanted Noctis to know this too, but, it was a little too late for that.
Ignis -- This might sound silly but, Cor actually feels stupid around Ignis. In my headcanon, Cor didn’t finish high school, perhaps he didn’t even go to it at all. So he has a middle school education at best. My reason being he’s 45, yet somehow was fighting in the war 30 years ago, implying he was 15 on the battlefield. So I imagine he was not in high school, and either returned later to get the equivalent of a GED in Lucis, or he just went straight to work and never had to bother with something like that.
So, being with Ignis, Ignis was groomed to be educated and informative for the sake of Noctis, and somewhat forced into a caretaker role. Ignis feels very out of his league, and Cor can’t see him talking to Ignis very often. They have little in common, and they are both the type of ‘don’t speak until spoken to’ kind of people. Although Cor has a lot of experience, he doesn’t have book smarts, and I feel Ignis is the opposite. If he assisted Ignis in training, I feel like Ignis would catch on that his booksmarts is pretty low, like if Ignis made a reference to history, or a scientific fact, or some animal facts he knew, Cor would just nod and go ‘yeah’ and Ignis is the only one who can decipher that means ‘oh, Cor doesn’t know what I’m talking about.’. Ignis is kind enough not to bring it up for no reason, but he is curious as to why Cor is this way.
Cor never told Ignis that he’s got a middle school education, and Ignis wouldn’t really ask something like that, so it’s some unspoken dialogue between them. However, if there’s something Ignis doesn’t know about, Cor wouldn’t hesitate to inform him. He’s apart of Noctis’s retinue, and he’d want Ignis to know whatever he thinks is important, so Cor would definitely fill him in. For that, it would probably be about fighting, what animals are weak to what, so on and so forth. Other than that, Cor and Ignis aren’t too compatible, Ignis can read him like a book though, and perhaps that’s one of the only intimidating things one of the bros has against Cor? That’s what I think anyway.
Prompto -- His smol bird son. Prompto is actually the only one of the four Cor did not know until around teenage times. Prompto and Noctis got into some shenanigans in my headcanon, and Cor would really only hear of the stories and not be in the know about it. He met Prompto in a hospital once because him and Noctis accidentally got injured doing something stupid. The Prince and him were both fine, but Prompto is always a little worried about Noctis never having fun, and Cor could understand where Prompto was coming from.
As Prompto was determined to be the wedding photographer for Noctis, Cor knew that Prompto would need to learn how to fight when there are so many enemies out there for Noctis. I headcanon Prompto was personally trained by Cor, and that’s why some people jokingly call him Prompto’s ‘dad’, Prompto accidentally called him ‘dad’ a few times too, but Prompto was usually very embarrassed when he did that. Cor didn’t actually care, he knew it was a mistake, he assumes nobody would think of him as a father. He understands Prompto in a way, since Cor was so young when he went out to war, he understands being subpar and not fitting in with a group, and he can see that in Prompto. He wants to be reassuring and encouraging because he knows how easy it is to break someones spirits. He’s actually quite surprised Prompto has such high spirits to begin with.
He wants Prompto to somewhat take care of the group and for the group to take care of him. They need someone like Prompto in their lives, everyone does, but Prompto also needs people in his life too. So he’s much kinder to Prompto, perhaps kinder than anyone else, and it’s not obvious, but Prompto is the only person he’ll pose for photographs, or even platonically ruffle his hair or pat him on the back, also Prompto is like the only person who could probably ask Cor for money and actually get some, or ask to go ride a chocobo or something and Cor would agree even though he doesn’t want to. There are very few people who can have this effect on Cor, I think Talcott is another, and Iris, although over time he and Iris actually get close enough to be more casual and perhaps even rude, in a friend sort of way, like being sarcastic and such.
So yeah, that’s the breakdown I have. If you ever think my headcanons are not going to be long winded, you are wrong.)
➺ (Let's tick of the Prince shall we?)
Send ➺to find my muse badly wounded and bleeding after a battle.
Ardyn slowly looks up as blood and mun covers his clothes. Sweat drips down and mixes the destruction even more as rain slowly drips down to cleanse him. “So...are you going to kill me?” He was weak, for now, and Noctis could easily finish him off if he so pleased.
@inshadowsandice || Continued from [here]
Prompto was thankful when Noctis didn’t push him away, pulling him in closer to his chest, almost pulling the older boy into his lap. It was hard to see his friend like this, hard to see him breaking down and know that he couldn’t fix it. There was nothing he could do to make it better, but he could be there for him, which is what he was doing. He kept rocking them lightly, his hand moving lightly along the Noct’s back. “I’m so sorry, Noct. I am so sorry.”
Prompto, what would you do if Ardyn had made Noctis fall off the train instead of you?
@inshadowsandice
There wasn’t an ounce of hesitation in him when he had his answer.
“I would have jumped down after him… If I could. Injuries be damned… Anything to make sure Noctis was okay. Anything to make sure that he wasn’t alone.” Prompto paused and shook his head. “Ignis and Gladio wouldn’t be happy with me, but I wouldn’t be able to just leave my best friend out there on his own.”
Another pause took him for a moment and contemplated his words.
“And if I couldn’t have jumped down after him… I would have shot Ardyn until I had no ammo left… A waste…now that we know what he is… but anything. Anything to fight back and stand up to him. Even if he can’t die…”
“We can’t change what has already been done…but Noctis’ has already been through enough. If he could still make progress, even if he hadn’t meant to push me off… Even though it had hurt, at first… I’m glad it was me and not him.”
-steals Ardyn's hat and drops a Fire Bomb doll in it before dropping it back on his head- (Noctis! Be nice!)
Send 🐧 to give my Muse a stuffed animal!
Sender chooses what they give!
Tries to snatch it back before it was put back on his head. Staring, he slightly glares at him before pointing. “That was very rude.” But keeps the doll anyway.
I have been meaning to ask, did you make your sweatshirt or did you buy it? I've been trying to find one, but no one I'd selling it.
I actually bought the sweatshirt! Then i made the stars with fabric paint!

For every ✍ I get in my inbox, I will reveal a pet peeve I have about rp.
When peopleuse small, smaller, smallest front sizefor their roleplay. This is one of my pet peeves and I will ask my roleplaypartner not to do so.
This size is alright for example but anything smaller is a no go for me. I think this is pretty much the smallest front size used on Tumblr but on other platforms they use even smaller fronts and that’s just a no, no for me.
