Miss Kate :3
Some stuff about her under the cut
Throughout her childhood, several of her friends went missing. After the abrupt death of her mother in her late teens, Lauren tried to help her solve the mystery, but somewhere along the way Kate lost her mind.
She believes playing hide and seek in the woods as a kid accidentally invoked Slenderman, but that isn't actually the case.
After she escaped through a window using herself as bait, she could swear she died. She began hearing a lot more voices that would get louder when she got close to a Free-standing Door.
She can't reenter her home after everything that happened. Something always stops her from going inside.
Before she got lost in a mining shaft, she attempted to follow Slenderman and confront him as he was heading through a Door. She can't recall the entirety of what she saw or what he did to her head before losing sight of him. She has no idea how she got there or how she got out.
As a kid, she had seen lone Doors in the woods all the time. She didn't pay them much mind until things started happening to her friends.
She didn't initially want Lauren to get involved, but doesn't blame herself for her death. The death she continually blames herself for is her mother's, though she had no hand in it.
Her eyes can adjust at will depending on the amount of light around, dark sclera is for night vision or low-light settings. She has a hard time being under bright lights regardless.
She tries to come off as friendly, but can't keep her eyes focused on whoever she's talking to. She sounds as if she isn't quite all there. She's almost always looking around. Others who aren't used to her find it very off-putting.
The day she wandered into a Door was the day she learned she actually was dead; moreso, she was brought back to life via unknown circumstances. She resides somewhere locally known by its denizens as The Inside. She still looks for Slenderman, placing posters on trees and structures as landmarks around her neighborhood.
Being an Insider took time for her to adjust to, but once she was assigned to a faction, she settled in fine. Her housemates don't mind her strange behavior, but some complain that her paper-littered room is a mess.
She knows he's here.
She's never been closer.
She just has to find him.
