Comic Book Saturday
It was the cover that got me. I haven’t read a ton that’s based on the Lovecraft Cthulhu myths, but, between the fact that it’s Innsmouth… Massachusetts, and the really awesome cover of the collection, yep, I had to give the collection a try.
The story was both very much like Lovecraft, but, because of what the author did with the characters, it was also so very much not like Lovecraft. I mean, oops, started the apocalypse, now what?
It wasn’t quite as intense as the usual Cthulhu stuff, and even funny too. I also really liked the art, like, really really liked it. Those backgrounds especially. It was just an all around really fun read.
