These delightful Cake Batter Macarons combine the flavors of cake batter and the delicate texture of macarons. They are perfect for special occasions or as a sweet treat anytime!
Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups almond flour. 2 cups powdered sugar. 3 large egg whites, at room temperature. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. A pinch of salt. 2 tablespoons cake mix. 3-4 drops of food coloring optional. Sprinkles, for garnish.
Instructions: Pulse the powdered sugar and almond flour together in a food processor until they are well mixed. Beat the egg whites and salt together in a large bowl until they get foamy. Slowly add the granulated sugar while beating the mixture until stiff peaks form. Mix in the almond extract and vanilla extract until they are fully mixed in. Mix the powdered sugar and almond flour together and then sift it into the bowl with the egg whites. Along with care, mix the dry ingredients into the egg whites until the batter is shiny and smooth. If you want to use food coloring, add a few drops and mix until you get the color you want. Warm your oven up to 300F 150C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. The batter should be put into a piping bag with a round tip. Place small rounds on the baking sheet that has been prepared, leaving space between each macaron. To get rid of any air bubbles, lightly tap the baking sheet on the counter. Allow the macarons to sit at room temperature for twenty to thirty minutes so that a skin can form. Add the sprinkles to the macarons before you bake them. The macarons should be baked for 15 to 18 minutes, or until they are set. Take them off the baking sheet and let them cool all the way down. The macarons should be carefully taken off the parchment paper once they are cool. Put macaron shells that are about the same size together and pipe your favorite frosting made from cake batter between them. Put the filled macarons in a container that won't let air in and put it in the fridge for 24 hours. This will give the flavors time to blend. Let them cool down before you serve them.
