I took my Aunty Yoke Har @88spicesnz to Roger Liu’s newly minted Woolfy’s, 11 Cryers Road, East Tamaki. She’s married to a “Woolf”. Head chef Sharron Maulgue has been working through a new menu, this being the first week. At lunchtime, the punters descended on Woolfy’s in droves as there’s a dearth of decent eateries in this very bustling industrial zone. Aunty Woolf had the low carb laksa with tofu and I had the homestyle crispy chicken on corn fritters, slaw & chipotle aioli. We rounded off lunch with a generous serve of hotcakes. We noticed every other order coming out of the kitchen was the crispy chicken.
