December Jammed / Recember Jammed

Is there a possibility of a proper LP releasing from the project later this year? Maybe. Could it be either These Tapes Trump Anything Recorded Before It... From This Project At Least (Maybe) or Bells, Whistles and Other Assorted Knick-Knacks - With the Sole Intention of Making Noise? Most likely. For now enjoy this single recorded last December.

Instrumenstration

2011 to Present

I feel, as a project, has some overlap with The Vegetarian. Lots of free Improvisation, though it has some what expanded itself away from the aforementioned project as well. Where one is more about the production side of it, or the sounds you can get through production, the other has become more a place for a "live improvised music" feel. The Vegetarian also is more concept or idea based now where Instrumenstration is more improv based period. I also like the idea of it sounding, even if not entirely true, as live or 1 take as possible. While there might be some sonic overlap, and some releases that could be interchangeable between the two, I feel they are respective releases had the mind set of two distinct different projects for their respective releases. Though ReHeating the Vegetarian is still up for debate IMO. But more on that at a later date.

The project also started under various other names, Inside Dementia (after an Avenged Sevenfold lyric) before becoming Instrumentia (Instrument combined with Dementia) before settling on the current name (a combination of Instrumentation and Frustration).

I've really begun to enjoy recording me and my son just playing together. He likes the piano a lot and the drums. He keeps trying to play my ukulele, so we got him his own. My daughter is now also liking hitting the drums. Its fun documenting those on them. I feel that the project was strictly about feeling free it has evolved into a family thing. They'll be able to go, I did that with my dad and I with my kids. I'd love to have others record for it to. The project has taken queues from Company where its a rotating cast of whom ever records for a given track or project. Need to find more people interested in doing it.

Today sees the release of the new Instrumenstration ep. Check it out, or don't.

May 6th, 2025

Starting with the new Vegetarian single, the following day we dropped the video for the singles A side. Up 3rd was an music video for an ep track and today we got a Noise Music. video for a track from the new album. There will be more to come, but can't disclose if it's this week. Have to wait until tomorrow to see.

Let's keep the momentum going, it's the 14th anniversary week of Before we Began. To honor that we've been getting something every day since the 3rd of May.

Also worth noting, the new Ep from Instrumenstration will drop June 5th, 2025. Maybe tomorrow might be a video for the project?

March 1st, 2025

Long overdue but I made a Tumblr. Today saw the release of the Noise Music. album Staplers and Other Assorted Shit. One of the original releases planned, that was scrapped and updated for release today. Recording dating back to 2011 all the way to February 2025. At the moment, it's the final release in the trilogy format. There are plans for more releases from the project, just nothing set in that release manner.
