►… ERROR 404 It was a bitter irony what had happened was considered an accident. Not a soul was sure what truly occurred to black out the only sense that kept Noiz connected to the world he lived alongside. Yet it only appeared in his mind that maybe someone would care to know what did cause the bright green orbs of the Rhymer to fade.
Unfeeling fingers twitch with the anticipation of the Ribster’s arrival to his hospital room. The small huddle of people that Aoba had banded together months before all sat nervously around the blank space. All sounds went deafening silent as the red kimono practically exploded into the area. Every person in the small room got up and shifted to give him time with the blinded teenager.
Each step that Koujaku made toward the unseeing boy was so loud and awkward while his body slowly tried to help him adapt to something so strange. Fingers curling into the sheets that rested over his legs, showing his knuckles turning white while staring down. Nothing felt so foreign. The lack of him being able to make out the large frame of his lover— if that was even what they were to be after this. Slowly the blond tugged up his legs toward his chest to bury the sightless orbs between knobby knees. Still shocked at how noisy his breathing became to his ears.
Only a few words came to mind as the sandaled feet came to a stop next to his bed. But the trouble was that they wouldn’t come out. His world was broken and burning before him as he was forced into a dark solitude for the rest of his short life. Feeling even more numb than ever.
The mattress under him shifted as additional weight was added, signalling the other had sat down. All his muscles tensed as he faintly felt himself being pulled against the familiar strong form that was the freelance hairstylist. A soft sob broke free from him as reality slapped him in the face. Very quickly turning from one sob into the torn German bawling like a spoiled child denied the toy he wanted against the elder’s chest.
His whole being felt pathetic for sniveling like this in front of the one person he never wanted to see him like he was naturally; broken. The only words he thought of before finally escaping his throat. All of the syllable sounded rough like they were rubbed with sandpaper for a few hours till finally reaching their peak.
❝It’s okay if you wanna leave..
Everyone does eventually..❞
Koujaku did indeed hear about Noiz’s accident. Once he heard from Aoba and some others, he felt his heart race within his chest. He couldn’t lose another person. Not again. Not ever. Besides- Noiz was a strong person, at least from what he’s seen. Noiz could take anything and everything, right? He showed no pain, but he couldn’t feel it either. A blessing but a curse. Almost like a memory. Koujaku did hear that memories were often a curse than a blessing. The raven haired male knew that all too well.
However, now was not the time or the place to think. He needed to see Noiz. He needed to see his Noiz. The one that he hated at first, but soon grew fond over. He wouldn’t say love, since he wasn’t sure about his feelings towards Aoba anymore, but- he knew his feelings for Noiz and those were feelings that were not going to go away anytime soon.
Once he made it to the room where his rabbit boy was, the male simply stood there for a moment, taking it in. It felt tense and it felt sad. Like a weight pushing down on his heart as he got closer to the other. Once his rear sat down on the bed, the male wanted to speak but couldn’t. What was he suppose to say? What was he suppose to do? Say everything will be okay even though it won’t? Saying things will be back to normal, when it won’t? Koujaku could do a lot of things to Noiz, but he wouldn’t lie or sugar coat things.
Eyes stayed on the male as he spoke only to feel a tough tug on his heart.
❝It’s okay if you wanna leave..
Everyone does eventually..❞
It made him wonder if he seriously said that to him. Why would he leave? If anything, this made him want to stay with Noiz and protect him more even if he would say 'I don’t need your help' or something along those lines. Besides, if Noiz was to shove him away, he would only come back and cling to him.
”Noiz…” Koujaku said softly as he tightened his fist, almost having his knuckles turn white in the process. Trying to be strong, hold back emotions and tears that wanted to come out. He hated seeing Noiz in such a state, he was so broken it hurt Koujaku but the man had a feeling he would recover from this. “I’m not leaving you. I won’t ever leave you. I’ll stay with you until you tell me to leave. That’s how it works.”
