“Ah, fuck,” he mumbled with a cigarette dangling from his lips haphazardly. His hands patted down every pocket he had until he sighed. Forgot his lighter. “Carajo.” He slid the cigarette back into his pack before walking towards the wedding party held outdoors. Even though it was decorated beautifully, he wasn’t too sure how to get through the ceremony and reception without a smoke. He went back to Tony and flicked the back of his ear, causing the man to flench and hit him back. “Do I have time to run to a gas station or something?” he questioned, ignoring the new annoyance he caused his friend. Before Tony could utter a word, music began to play as people ushered to their seats. Letting his head fall back in dramatic agony, he blew a breath out and accepted his fate. “They better make this quick,” he grumbled as they both took their seats. He leaned towards Tony and mumbled, “Les doy dos años…” I give them two years. Harsh? Maybe. True? Absolutely. This was already the second wedding for their old college friend and everyone got a sense it wasn’t too promising. At least the place looked beautiful.
Restless as ever, Leon rocked in his chair, drumming his fingers against his knee as he took in the sights of everyone around them. Familiar and new faces were all around and he intended on meeting someone decent that evening. There was a reason he came dateless, after all. Just then his eyes caught a pair of gold stilettos walking by down the aisle, his eyes moving up a pair of beautiful legs in an emerald green dress. He found himself tilting backwards in his chair as he went to get a better look at the woman in question, the front two legs of the chair coming off the ground. He could already tell she was stunning. But then he noticed it. The red hair that flowed down her back so perfectly. Leon nearly fell right out of his seat then and there, dramatically grasping onto Tony’s shirt to bring him back to his normal position. He gave the man’s chest a hard pat and looked back at the aisle to see none other than Marley taking a seat. He knew it was a possibility she would show, but he was still surprised. “You will not believe it. Mrs. The One Who Got Away just walked in.” Even though he knew it had been years since Tony last saw the woman and that it would probably be a rather sensitive subject, he couldn’t contain his giddiness. “Fuck a cigarette, this is better than that. This wedding just got interesting.”
