Elizabeth had been avoiding her betrothed. Even escaping back up to the estate in Scotland. But there was no avoid this. Even as she sat in his drawing room, waiting for him to come downstairs, she could feel the strange fluttering that the midwife had reassured her was normal. It made her feel uncomfortable and she stood up when he entered.

"Peter. Thank you for seeing me. We have a lot to talk about but firstly I wanted to apologise for my absence."

"Do you think they'll come? To the ball I mean? I can only hope so it needs to be perfect. I know many were not amused by our elopement even though we had my father's permission." Elizabeth had been quiet before the thoughts finally verbalised and she gave a short sigh once they escaped. "... Have you spoken to Princess Sophia recently? I fear she's been avoiding me. I knew I should have invited her to the ceremony."

"Mr Drake," Raina gave a polite smile as she spotted the gentleman. She remembered speaking to him last season uqite pleasantly. She was someone who defintiely made her own opinions about someone and she hadn't been put off by the rumours of Lady Whistledown. "How was your winter?"

After having tea with Evie, Alice could not wait to take in the sights outside the “Ship of Dreams” as they called it. It was nearly sunset and it was the perfect opportunity for her to take her sketchpad to just draw for the rest of the afternoon. She sat on one of the deck chairs, a clear view of the water. She flipped the pages of the book of the various sketches she had already drawn on board… the upper deck of the ship, her brother working, vases of flowers, the tea trays, a sweet old couple. To the blank page, she began to draw the sun over the ocean. She kept her gaze downwards, concentrating on the ripples of the water reflected by the sun until a shadow casted over her book. “Oh... excuse me, Sir, would you mind moving a little bit to the side, please?"
