Her smile - damn her smile could illuminate the entire fucking room. The first time he witnessed it, Max was truly enraptured by it. She was the sunshine he never knew he needed until she appeared. Now it didn’t help that she was David’s daughter - he adored his employer, even regarded him as his own father figure. That man gave him a job when he needed something more legitimate, betraying his trust stabbed at Max but Nadia.. god, Nadia was irresistible.
The dinner crowd was impending soon at The Underground and as usual, Max was arranging the last few utensils on the tables when she walked in. For a moment they both had forgotten where they were. He reached out to her and without thought, wrapped an around her waist before pecking her cheek. Oh shit! Almost immediately he released her waist, stepping back to put some distance between them. “No one’s behind me right?” he snickered, so tempted to pull her close and kiss her for real. They had been sneaking around, stealing kisses now and then. It had been thrilling to say the least. “That’s too close, y’know. I really don’t want your dad killing me over this, babe. He’s here today, at the back.”
