The Superbowl was nowhere near the type of event Brooklyn generally found herself paying mind to in any way. Growing up, she’d seen her father going nearly insane over who made it to the big game, and then subsequently nearly giving himself an aneurysm screaming at the television day-of. However, outside of her stint in the marching band during high school, Brooklyn hadn’t ever found any reason to pay any mind to the entire event. Socializing, though- that was entirely her speed. And, despite her hatred for the game of football, she simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to potentially meet a few new people, especially with Valentine’s Day just around the corner and with less than no prospects for a potential date.
The party was in full swing when she arrived, and she quickly greeted the few people she did know, or at least recognized, before scanning the room to find a place to be. Though she’d planned to have the weekend off, she’d been called in earlier in the day, the clinic overwhelmed with pre-party injuries and pets who’d managed to get hold of every item they shouldn’t have had. She’d gotten off work just in time to shower and make the party on time, but hadn’t had the time to eat anything. Therefore, she headed straight to where the food seemed to be. As she approached, she accidentally bumped into a nearby figure. Immediately, her hands flew in front of her, an apologetic expression crossing her face. “Oh gosh, I’m so sorry! I swear, I’m the clumsiest person ever! I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
