Ji-Ho popped his head into Austen’s room, hoping she was there so he wouldn’t have to go searching for her. “Ah!” He said cheerfully, “just the girl I wanted to see. Whatever you have planned this afternoon, cancel it. I’m taking you on a friend date. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.” With his phone out he went to his saved photos and showed her a picture of a painting. “I signed us up for a two hour wine and canvas class. I thought it would be fun, and it’s my late birthday gift to you. Don’t tell the others, I could only afford spots for just us.” He gave her a small smile before sliding his phone back in his pocket. “The drinks will be on me, you don’t have to worry about a thing.”
