chizuru has been glued to her client's side the whole evening despite knowing that rae was present in the establishment. the times they happen to be in a close proximity, chi-chan shies away and turns her attention to cling on the man's arm even more intensively.
it's not that rae absolutely annihilated her previous (now deceased) client in her presence — her sister's in the yakuza after all— that bothers her, but how beautifully gorgerous she is. chizuru can't talk to beautiful women without making fool of herself. so she opts not to.
then @sturmboe's rae approaches her confidently: “ I see you’re paying attention to someone who is not me. Why is that? ” and for once in the evening, chizuru has nowhere to run.
bewildered, yet pleasantly flattered, chi-chan pathetically lies: "rae! i haven't realized you've been here the whole time!"
