Lily rushed through the corridors, not quite at a sprint but nearly there as she made a beeline for the library. She was almost always on time or early as a rule, but she’d gotten caught up in the last five minutes of rounds telling off a group of third years for tossing around a fanged frisbee, and after docking the points and confiscating the stupid thing, she was running horribly late to her next tutoring session.
Rushing into the library, she winced and gave Madam Pince an apologetic look at her noisy entrance before heading over to her usual tutoring table. “Sorry, I’m late,” she told the girl already seated at a spot near the windows. “I promise I’m usually much more punctual than this, it’s just been a crazy day. It’s Lucinda, right?”
