I paint in series. Sometimes, my series can span over many years. One such collection is my INTENT series, which I inadvertently started painting back in 2011. I say inadvertently, because I didn’t actually plan this out to be a “series” in itself. I was just painting a certain in way that I found interesting, engaging (to me) and meaningful, in my mind. But then I became quite prolific, and needed a way to organize my work so that it was grouped together in ways that made sense. So this became a retroactive series… One of my first official groupings of art works. Now, I will actually plan out a series, and paint with the intention of creating like pieces that speak to each other. All in the Plan was clearly NOT painted in 2020! No, as the title might suggest, it was actually painted in 2019, though it has remained largely hidden from view! LOL! Things will eventually get back to the way they were (or closer to that version of “normal”). We all just have to be patient, wear our masks, prioritize social distancing, and so on. On a related note, I was just listening to @davidattenborough’s message of common sense and hope, and am encouraged. Hopefully, more will follow his lead, when it comes to taking care of our planet (and ourselves).
