lysandre is greeted with a smile, the professor's desk littered with more photographs than had been published - clearly a second phase of research mirror is working on. he seems unperturbed, however, to stop what he's doing for his visitor.

"well, consider me an open book. i love questions. what are you curious about?" he gestures absently to one of the chairs, gathering up the photos as he talks. his smile turns rueful. "there were a lot of images with my research."

"absol have a similar problem." mirror frowns. it's downright disgusting that pokemon had to suffer for human misconceptions. it's part of the larger goal of his research to help combat those and show that even the pokemon with the darkest reputations are misunderstood and deserving of respect and appreciation. it's why, seeing a man with three houndoom, he couldn't stop himself.

"the population in lental is thriving, but the islands are a large nature preserve so it would be a problem if it wasn't. with luck, we'll be able to help bolster johto's numbers in the future." but that would be a complex matter, and require more funds and more clout than he had at the moment.
