Valentine’s Day weekend had been far busier than Micayla could have expected. From the two night long anti-Valentine’s Day party at Le Rouge, to being dragged to the festival on Sunday, she had been on her feet nearly all weekend. Monday and Tuesday ahd therefore been reserved for recharging. She’d spent the majority of both days cuddled up on her couch with her latest read. When she finally felt ready to re-emerge, she knew who she needed to see first. She sent a quick text to her cousin and soon enough, dinner was arranged.
Maeva had attended the party at Le Rouge, but Micayla had been far too busy to spend enough time with her to be satisfied. She needed some good, one-on-one quality time with Maeva. As she made her way into Giraffe, she couldn’t help the excited smile that came to her lips upon spotting her cousin-turned sister in the last few years. She rushed over to the table Maeva was sitting at. “Hi love.” she greeted as she leaned down to kiss both of Maeva’s cheeks before taking her own seat. “God! I am so sorry I was so busy Saturday night! Did you manage to have at least somewhat of a good time? I saw you talking with Finn.” she asked, taking on a protective air as always when it came to the younger woman.
