In an effort to get tomato seeds for Emily to make more juice for Nero, Rena had left the City and headed out into the wild unknown to look for any plants that had survived the sunless two years. She shouldn't have left the City, really, but there weren't that many plants left within the barrier.
So venturing out was what she had to do.
She must've taken a wrong turn or something, because suddenly the light of the Sun blinded her. Covering her eyes and letting herself adjust, she blinked a few times as the brightness slowly dimmed and revealed a world with Sunlight.
OST - Insecure Feeling
However, the one thing that was wrong was that there were no people. Even as she scoured the area, there was no one there. Reddish-pink eyes scanned over every area- until they fell upon someone standing inside of what was potentially a store. They were sitting in one of the chairs, looking at something and seemingly perpetually sad.
"What's going on?" Rena wondered aloud. This didn't seem right at all. In fact, with it being such a beautiful day out, why weren't there any people out and about? She could understand if it was like the world she'd been in, where the Sun hadn't shined in two whole years.
But not like this.
As she debated what to do, the hackles on the back of her neck rose and she turned around to face whoever was trying to sneak up on her.
"Sneaking around means you don't make who you're sneaking up on aware of your presence. Stealth 101." She put a hand on her hip. "So, why are you trying to sneak up on me, hm?"
