Fictional Character Interactive Number
I got this template from @/NotEvenJupiter on Twitter last November 2021. I'm not sure if @/NotEvenJupiter on Tumblr is her or just her namesake.
With link credits done, if you're her and want me to take this down, just let me know!
.
Now that that's out of the way, me time.
Since it will take forever for me to have enough moots and followers to be able to do this, I'm just gonna answer it regardless~
Top of my head:
1. A fictional character I relate to is Daniel Yoon from the webtoon, Age Matters. I'm neither tekk bro nor rich kid, but I do relate to his social awkwardness, the will to do whatever I want, and lack of enthusiasm over nepotism. I'm probably physically weaker than Dylan Chen, too. I might be useful as a human shield, but I'm not sure I can fight back :'D
2. I honestly don't think I can answer this because I have a hard time picking an aesthetic lol.
3. A fictional character from my childhood? Inuyasha, I guess? Or Kikyo lying down with eyes closed. I think it was that episode where she was about to...resurrect? Possess Kagome? IDK why that scene's so vivid in my memory.
4. What is my favorite TV show? There's the K-Drama, My Mister (나의 아저씨), but I can't pick a character to single out. But I did like (spoiler warning) how IU did sign language when her character's deaf grandmother died. IU's character Lee Ji Ahn can speak and hear, so the reason she signed is because that's how she communicated with the grandma all this time, and it doesn't matter that she can speak, she's still using the language they communicated with. It was a really raw scene for me. I feel like the more dramas you watch, the more you get desensitized to sorrowful scenes. Like if a character cries out to their recently deceased loved one, there's this part of my mind that just goes, "they can't hear you" and you just wait for the wailing scene to be over. IU's acting (IDK if it was her idea or the director's) took away that desensitization and made it raw again. It found this emotional loophole where, if we're so used to characters calling out to their loved one, speaking, wailing, verbalizing in words, well, here we have a character signing. We're not desensitized enough to the idea of "they can't see you". Yes, the grandma can't see Ji Ahn, and it hurts me that she can't see Ji Ahn and Ji Ahn can't be seen.
5. My favorite video game if you discount OELVNs like the pretentious over competitive snobs like some of you are...is currently Harvest Town. A character I really like is Sherry Allen, even though she didn't really stand out to me at first. I just love her motivations, understand her goals, and am fascinated by her means to materialize them. Sure, she loves money, but unlike her mother, it's to make herself and her younger brother happy. Although she's basically born rich, she works for herself. And even though she probably would've turned out super shady had she more power (it's canon that she takes pictures of girls to sell them to boys), I don't think she's someone who will antagonize or abuse someone just to be mean (even if the photo thing is creepy and enabling) and if I were to wrote my own version of the Harvest Town's future, she'd actually protect the town as a sort of information broker. It may not be because she's a saint, but because she knows how information can impact people, she'll set ego aside and keep secrets of the town that could be taken advantage of secret. I mean, much of the main quests involved her. She's very capable, and very professional. I think it's cute that her dialogue says, "Umm, what are you doing?" when you give her gifts, too.
6. My favorite movie is probably Spirited Away, which is funny because I first encountered it bored flipping channels and went, "oh, look, an anime" on HBO. I didn't even want to finish it at first. When I came across it, it was already at the part where Sen was at the spider grandpa's place. IDK why, but I didn't like that part too much at the time, so I flipped channels some more and only came back to it because I couldn't find anything else to watch. Then I re-watched it several times and have never forgotten about it. Memorable characters...well apart from having a crush on Haku (who doesn't lol), I was really drawn to Yubaba, Yubaba's bird, Zeniba, Boh, and the 3 heads. I just felt like I've known them lol or met them in a long ancient dream. The part where lung dragon Haku lashed out and Sen had to give him that weird bitter tasting ball also struck me, as did those paper things moving on their own, and just the bathhouse itself with multiple floors, an ornamented office for its hostess, and a special room for the germ-fearing Boh.
7. A fictional character I'd marry... maybe Derek Suarez from Our Life? He's reliable, friendly to everyone and not just to his crush, he's really cute, and he nearly confessed to the MC when he left for the summer, doing it in the most sensitive and yet self-confident way possible. I've only interacted with him up to stage 2(?), but I cannot see any downsides in the future stages with him.
8. A fictional character I shamelessly simp for: Quest from Blooming Panic. Do I even need an explanation?? Everyone there is adorable, but Quest is just... *explodes*
9. A fictional character I'm ashamed to be simping for but simp for anyway: Quest, as well. It's not him I'm ashamed of; I just feel as if people will judge people who do simp for him.
10. At the top of my head is Garret from Christmas Otome. Kinda fukking hurt (spoiler warning) he pulled an ironic protector move near the end, but I have a soft spot for 2D considerate yet unintentionally intimidating characters. (Just realized he has that common with Quest. Oh no.)
11. I think it might be fun to cosplay as Sherry Allen. Costume-wise, it's just a preppy girl dress-up, nothing too fantastic, but it'd be fun to act out her character if I just knew how to go about it. Daniel Yoon is also an option. I'd just have to be myself lol. And if I want to be on the more fantastical side, I guess I could go as Ash (Reaver version) from The Pretender's Guild or as Dietrich from Candied Carols.
12. Sherry. Sherry is underappreciated.
13. A fictional character that makes me laugh? I'm not sure. I'm not good at remembering funny instances.
14. A fictional character I must protect at all costs? Stone from Harvest Town and Derek Suarez from Our Life (neither of them need protecting though) and Cove Holden. To a certain extent, Shiloh, as well, but I have a feeling we'll grow apart.
15. What does "start a piece of media" mean? If it means starting fan art, I make those for several characters. If it means checking out something just for that character, I guess it's Cove again or Garret again.
16. Damon Reznor, but I'd probably perish pretty soon as a result lmfao~ Oh, I know. Jeremy Marion King. It felt very freeing knowing my choice in that critical scene wouldn't affect other aspects of the gameplay bwahahaha~
17. Comfort characters: Derek again and Mitra from Nusantara: Legend of the Winged Ones. There is something about the open, reliable types and the atmospheres they create even without anything happening. (Even if I did like Reksa the most haha.) Liz/Elizabeth is also oddly comforting even if she can be such a sarcastic sass.
18. Damon again. Or Ace from DUFE. Nice going for drinks with the bad boys more respectful than some people.
19. Please let it be Quest asjfhkdhfkdshh. Or Derek. Never be Sherry, Liz, Mitra, or Ace. Elizabeth might be nearly as good as Derek, though.
20. Too hard; won't answer.
