We are back. (DEMO RELEASE DATE!)

To everyone who's been asking if we're alright, who's been waiting, who's still here after all this time: We are back.

When we disappeared in 2021, life pulled us under in ways we never expected, and for the longest time, we thought we might never return to this story, to these characters that lived so vividly in our minds, to this community that had become like family.

But here's what we discovered in the silence: the story never left.

We've spent these years not just healing, but fleshing everything out. The ROs you thought you knew? They're deeper now, more complex, more dangerous. The plot that once excited you? It's become something that keeps us awake at night, not from anxiety, but from pure creative adrenaline.

The demo will drop on the 30th of August.

We won't lie, we're both terrified and exhilarated. This isn't the same story we would have told in 2021. Every interaction choice matters more now. Every RO relationship cuts deeper. Every consequence is more grave.

To those who've been checking in, sending messages, keeping this story alive in your hearts: We thank you. Thank you for waiting. Thank you for believing. Thank you for being the reason we found our way back.

After a villain almost decimated the world as you know it, you and four other people were chosen by the hands of fate to gain powerful abilities and become a member of Legion, humanity's only hope.

Because of that, you became celebrities in your own right. Red carpets, photoshoots, commercials for energy drinks and more. After a while it felt like the villain would never return and you'd be stuck being a celebrity for powers you don't even use.

Until the villain does return.

And you win.

Six years later, you wake up in the same spot you were in with no memory of the last near decade of your life. While only a night has gone by for you, for everyone else? A lifetime.

Stolen Resurrection is 18+ gritty IF that's a mixture of fame and super heroism. You are a member of the elite Legion, believed to be dead for half a decade until you wake up to a changed world six years later.

Customize your MC from personality, appearance, gender identity and their persona. Do they embrace the celebrity life or reject it? Do they love their position as someone forced to sacrifice their life for the good of the world or do they resent it?

Curate whether your MC will move on or stay stuck in the past. Choose how to approach every situation and every person from your past and present life.

THE EX FIANCÉ // THE SELLOUT: CATH HARRISON [M/F][RO]

Your ex and old Legion member, Cath has become the most prominent and beloved figure in New America. Once kind, charismatic, and a charmer, Cath is now the stoic poster child for the company that made Legion. So much so, that your old friends call them a sellout. Cal was proposing to you when everything went to hell all those years ago. When you return, you find them remarried. Cath has moved on...or have they?

THE OLD FRIEND // THE STRANGER: REA SANTOS [F][RO]

Once your closest friend and fellow Legion member, Rea has grown cold over the years, haunted by that fateful night. Even though she still has love for the team, she does her best to rebel as much as possible as revenge for the attack that took a life she can never get back. While she understands your disappearance and subsequent reappearance is not your fault, she can't help but blame you for not being around. Rea is a stranger to you now and whatever friendship you two had is successfully dead.

THE FORMER FAN // THE PRO: JAMES SATO [M][RO]

James, bright and wide-eyed, was once your biggest fan, gloating that he was going to apply to NAG Labs because of you. He also had a childish admiration for you that you found endearing at best and a nuisance at worse. Now, years later, James is somehow as old as you, has long moved on past his fan phase, and is the new head of the division that created you. Oddly enough, it feels weird without James Sato not following you around like a lost puppy. Have the roles reversed?

THE EX FLAME // THE HERMIT: NICO/NAOMI CARTER [M/F][RO]

Once the sunshine and comedic relief of the team, N has disappeared, becoming a shell of their former self. They do nothing else but stay in the bar, drinking their sorrows away. They are considered hostile and want nothing to do with the team or the Company since your death. N may have had feelings for you in the past, but you're not too sure. It's not as if you could ever pursue that years ago. Now? Well, it seems like it's all too late.

OTHER CHARACTERS

??? -- your hear them in your head. Is this the person who has trapped you all this time?

Ray Trent (m) -- your old teammate and close friend. No one speaks of Ray, and you wonder where's he gone and what he's been through that makes him such a sore topic for everyone.

Logan Kane (m) -- the new head of NAG and currently running for president of New America. The son of the now dead head that you were once close to. Logan doesn't trust you. Your reappearance has set him on edge.

LUNAR CITY: a gritty but bustling city where supernaturals and humans live in (relative) harmony. Humans live alongside Fae, witches and warlocks, vampires, and so many more. It's normal. It's your normal.

When your father died, he left you with one thing: his antiquities/pawn shop. Decades upon decades of collecting and trading bits and bobs from all types of supernatural histories sit right here in Angelwood Antiquities, a staple of Lunar City and the shop you have now inherited.

It was his life's work, and you've done everything in your power to keep it running.

But when someone comes in bloodied and begging for you to take hold of a magical object, you don't know what you're agreeing to. You definitely don't expect him to die at your feet, telling you to take good care of...them.

Them?

Turns out the object is no object at all, but an ancient being that could be the key to stopping a multi-species war that's been brewing right under your nose..and your father may have had something to do with it. And when that being chooses and bonds to you--giving you its power--you are now thrust headfirst into the world of supernatural. The same world you've managed to avoid.

Entangled with a cast of characters who will help you save the world, you are now both human and supernatural, a rare feat. And the most important person in the city. And it will be up to you to save it.

Angelwood is an urban-fantasy inspired by stories by Sarah J. Maass, Cassandra Clare, and Holly Black. It is primarily centered around romance, with a fantasy, murder mystery, and war brewing at its core. The demo is already written and undergoing editing.

CAST [ROs]

IVAN CROSS (M)(FAE) - Ivan is the cold and distant Detective of the LCPD. He is also a powerful Fae, with a menacing reputation that makes most people scared to cross him. Ivan is not exactly a team player and he seems insistent on railroading this tentative partnership you didn't even want to have with him, but he's also the only one who can make sense of whats happening to you. Seems like you're stuck with him.

It doesn't help that you two aren't on the best of terms considering he closed your father's case without much effort.

FREYA (F)(GREENWARDEN) -- Ivan's second-in-command and your other partner that forms this...odd trio. You expected Greenwardens--powerful sprites that manipulate all things nature--to be smooth talking and caring. Wrong. Freya is snarky and punchy, and determined to get her mission done. Maybe it's because she's half human. Who knows.

DOMINION (DOM)(UNKNOWN) - Dom is the smooth-talking entity that is now in your head and giving you their powers. You...don't really know what to say. They sure are a flirt, at least.

KALEL/KALIS (M/F) (VAMPIRE) - K, once your old friend (and possible ex partner) is now insistent on joining your group considering they seem to have a stake in this too. (pun non intended)

SELINA (F)(SERPENT/HUMAN HYBRID) - Selina the Serpent is the owner of the biggest gambling den in the red light district, and also someone you don't want to cross. Over the years, she's traded with you on all sorts of things people leave behind in exchange for information...and now she wants to join in one the group. Having her around would really help, considering she has eyes everywhere.

QUINN (F/M)(HUMAN) - your best friend and the one you hired for Angelwood. And a human, which seems to be rare these days.

I’m loving Cam more with each ask I read, and I just thought of an angsty question: how would he react to MC, once they’re together, looking at him with love and the beginnings of tears in their eyes and apologizing for not realizing that he’s the one for them years ago? 👀

❤️ Cam - When he sees the tears forming in your eyes he sucks in a breath. Reaching out to you with such speed, such intention as he pulls you close to him and uses his shirt sleeve to wipe your eyes.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" his own voice cracks as gently strokes the stray tear from your cheek.

"I..after everything Cam. It was always you. I never knew, I'm sorry for not realizing it sooner." your voice barely audible as you cry that much harder seeing his features soften.

You watch as a tear falls down his cheek as he shakes his head at you. "Don't. You don't have to cry over that. I would have waited forever for you, hell I basically did." he laughs.

You reach forward, wiping the tear off him now. How have you ever got this lucky? You couldn't say for sure, but knowing he was yours now...that was enough.

He covers your hand with his own. Leaning into your touch, letting it cement him to your new shared reality before whispering, "I love you."

I have a angsty ask for you

How would Chris Jade and the ROs react if they learned that the MC is pregnant with Chris baby and they the day they caught them cheating was the day they were gonna tell them

Ah yes the angst. (this ones lengthy)

Chris- You've known each other for many years. While you have seen each other upset before, you've never seen Chris like this. They're pale, unblinking, trying to speak but their words are coming out in a jumbled mess. They're stunned, not because they don't want you to be pregnant. No, it's the opposite in fact.

Jade- She wouldn't look at you. You can tell she wants to say something, do something. You even notice how she reaches out but pulls her hand back before it makes contact. Yet she says nothing, no apology, no congratulations on the baby, nothing. Nothing can fix this.

Cam- Cam is quiet. Very unnervingly quiet. Someone who can be considered a hothead and yet, he's just standing there. Like he's trying to work it out in his head. He's hurt by this whole mess, hurt for you, for the child. He looks at you, with such a serious expression you almost want to laugh. "Forget about Chris. Forget about Jade. It's me and you huh, hasn't it always been?". You know Cam will be there no matter what choice you make. (Cam will have a talk with Chris though, better believe it.)

G- If G was a cruel person, they could say something. But G isn't cruel just hurt. This isn't about that though, about what happened between you all that night. G is cautious, extremely so. They are slow and precise with their movements as they walk toward you. They feel like starting an argument with you, just to see something besides the hurt on your face. They open their arms walking toward you, giving you ample time to pull away if you want. When you don't they hold you close against their chest. It takes barely a minute before you begin to cry. It takes less time for G to whisper into your ear. "You always deserved better than them."

Kara- Knowing that MC is pregnant unsettles her. Not because she doesn't want you to be, it's because she knows how badly Chris has wanted a family, and Kara and Chris have always been close. She will try to talk about how it could work, and how you could make it work if it's what you want. If you tell her otherwise, she will just sit by you quietly. There if you need her, there if you don't.

M- When the first swear comes from M's lips, its shocking. Then by the sixth one, you have a hard time trying to hold back the laughter. This makes M even angrier. They're so confused until you tell them what caused it. In which case M is shocked, reaching their hand out to your stomach to then apologize to the little one inside.

Isaac- They are so far out of their element they haven't spoken in 10 minutes. You know Isaac has a tough time dealing with emotions. That's why they're always so quick to flirt or make a joke. It's their shtick. They have fumbled with their car keys the entire time. Dropping them picking them up, swinging them around. Finally, they stand pulling you up along with them. "Just this once you can drive, but only if you tell me how you feel. That's the only rule." Just this once it's okay to care.

Ardent- Before you even finish what you were saying Ardent has already punched a hole in the wall, your wall. Cam was quick to remind him that is not coming out of your deposit. You already know that Mrs. Marquez down the hall is already covering her kid's ears. Because if you thought a sailor was known for swearing, they got nothing on Ardent Pine. It takes both you and Cam to calm Ardent down and not go to see Chris. He spends the rest of the night patching the wall not saying a word, not till he goes to leave. "This one's on me." You really hope he was talking about the wall.
