While this is not our dimension, I absolutely love this perspective. What if all our stories of elves and trolls and fairies are actually faint collective memories of the other human species we shared the Earth with at one time? What if we remember elves dancing and singing because these other humans did? We'd never know because we don't have a time machine and maybe some actual experts in the field can already say it's unlikely because of X Y and Z - but what if? I'll be thinking about this all week
