"What’s the world for if you can’t make it up the way you want it?" – Toni Morrison I've been thinking (obsessing) about these sculptures and reflecting on what they mean to me. I've realized that it is in my nature to deviate from the assumed plans and expectations set for me. I choose where I want to go and how I want to get there, assuming responsibility for my stumbles along the way. It is a tough and tedious way of life, as any other artist can attest to. I finally got a working prototype finished. I added a copper wire inlay though I'm not sure I like it in this piece.
