We host sector interest groups (SIGs) that meet on a regular basis (up to four times a year) to discuss key issues, share views, get involved in campaigns and discuss good practice and new research.
The Hypocrisy of Fighting The Party System
Yes, many people, myself included, are not pleased with the partisanship of the current USA party system. However, fighting to abolish it entirely simply creates a new party system: people who want a party system and people who don’t, and so the loop continues.
What we should look to do is not abolish the party system, but find a way so that interest groups do not hold as much sway over political parties as the people of the USA. To do that requires a lot of planning, but hey. There’s over 100 million people in this country who can help make this possible.
