HOPE/HUNGER

I’ve always been an acquired taste

Never knowing the time or the place

always taking the relationship out

when it’s half baked

Thinking a passing glance is worthy of my

grace

in his eyes

i saw a future,

my past held no weight

I wish i would’ve known this when

i was younger

I keep calling it hope

but it’s just hunger

i serve myself too early
