Does anyone here have any reading recs or references about the concept of internal colonisation/internal colonies? I've mostly seen it applied as a concept to racialised people in the US but it may come up elsewhere too. See it a fair bit in older Black power type writing and I'd like to understand more about it as a theoretical framework. To be clear I'm not looking for work that runs with the concept as a starting assumption — more to understand why it emerged and how it was used as distinct from e.g. racism, classism
