Allan smiled. He turned and laughed. So shy. So tender. I wondered what might be going through his head. I reached out to touch his ear as he turned away; his ears were always so mesmerizing. Seeing my hand in the corner of his eye, he turned back to me quickly. I knew he did not want my hand coming on contact with his gorgeous hearing appendage, but I could not help myself. Allan took hold of my hand just before my index finger met the lobe of his ear, and he gave me a look. That look will forever sit in my remembering appendage as the last look given my way before the one and only Intern Allan began to caress my face with a block of cheese.
