Conference/Cappadocia
We’ve been quite busy (and travelling for the past few days) which has made posting difficult, but here’s the low-down on what we’ve been up to! We finished up the business conference on Thursday. On Tuesday, Leah presented on non-profits and marketing, while Cassidy presented on the future of education (specifically in the online realm). Wednesday, Joy and Meredith lead the group of Turks and Americans in a business game that taught principles of organization and the Turks present on common Turkish stereotypes.
On Thursday morning, we had the opportunity to visit the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, which was beyond impressive. Then, Thursday afternoon, we went back to the University for a small closing ceremony with the Turkish students. After that, we went bowling with them and then to a pool party; we called it an early evening, however, since we had to leave at 6:30 the next morning to catch our bus to Cappadocia! That’s where we are now, and we’ve had an incredible time debriefing our trip and exploring the many rock formations that are abundantly present in this place. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, and has proved to be the perfect setting for our post-conference debriefing time!
