I find it sad that most people forget what the icebucket challenge is all about! To most it's the newest internet hype, to others like me it's a way to help raise awareness for a terrible disease. I actually learned about the icebucket challenge on the news and to me & my family it felt like a breath of fresh air.

Let me explain for those of you who don't know. The icebucket challenge was started to raise awareness for ALS. ALS is a muscle disease. There is no cure for it nor are there any medicine to slow the process down. This means that one by one your muscles will cease to work.  Be warned! This is a family disease and lately it has been starting to make more and more victims.  If you're lucky, your heart is going to be your first muscle to go. If you're unlucky, like my aunt, you will suffer from this disease for 5 years. Most don't even make it that far an die in the first year. If you're smart you make up the euthanasia papers before you lose the ability to speak. But you know what the worst thing about this disease is? You actually know what's happening to you. You know you can't talk anymore even if you want to. You know you can't hold your children in your arms. They can be standing right in front of you but you will never again be able to pick them up and hold them.

This is why the icebucket challenge was created. It's not some hype or internet rage. No. It's for ALS. Be informed before doing another challenge cuz sometimes you're unawareness can hurt others.

Holy shit, does this band make me bitter!  Not because they suck, because they're fucking amazing.  No one's pulling off the early Boston HC style in a modern way better.  Whether it's the "Outcast" demo or their new LP "Primitive", these guys are making AMAZEBALLS hardcore.  I feel turgid and violent all over.

But give me a fucking break with this whole "we only pressed 1000 copies of our record" bullshit.  It's 2012.  If you're undercapitalized, use Kickstarter.  Hell, reinvest and release another pressing.  The kids will have their say, and they demand physical media and the opportunity to put money directly into your pocket, goddammit!

It's like hearing a third of the 1st press of the Teen Idles 7" was melted on someone's hood, or Sab Grey used copied of "Hated & Proud" for shooting pigeons.  Those guys were dumb teenagers; what's your excuse?  At least one of you used to be in Social Circkle; you should know better by now.
