I know first hand the stresses and feelings of anxiety that inundate you when the realization sets in that you need to find an internship. At first, I was unsure as to how I should approach the situation. Not only am I fortunate enough to have a career service advisor at Johnson & Wales who helped me along the way, but I also stumbled upon some great resources to not only find internships in your area, but to explore opportunities in other cities all across the country!
Internships.com came up in a google search, so I filled out a profile, uploaded my resume and began contacting employers the same day. Mind you, you can't forget the art of "the follow up." Simply forwarding your resume won't always do the trick. Being persistent is key when touching base with potential employers.
