We’re all born with big hearts. We live life day to day only to find it shrinking away. So we end up with these remnant hearts painted with stretch marks. But really, what could be more beautiful than that?

The day I got diagnosed, was the day I realised how fragile life was. Brushing through meningitis didn't seem that big a deal but to escape by a thin line twice, for cancer, that changed me. I am not in the business of denying myself any expression of feelings or opportunities to be taken. You'd think I'd refer this taking of chances to the fact that life and death is unpredictable. But really, think about all the people whom you're not talking to anymore? Nobody died. It was only a lack of communication or effort that drove people apart. So sue me if I'm vulnerable. Lock me up for speaking up. These are far better than the taste of regret for not saying the words that were at the tip of my tongue.
