Where possible, I love to bring real world objects, fashion or designs into my stories and Zenith and Nadir is no exception. The book Joel reads to Sarah from belonged to my mother, and now belongs to me.

And here's the inspiration for Joel and Sarah's trailer. Although they moved into their park in the early 60s, they took up residence in an older mobile home from the 1940s.
