Today, we have an exclusive interview with Johnny, our lead designer on the inspiration behind Crane & Canopy’s Two-Toned Signature Duvet Cover:
What was the inspiration behind Crane & Canopy’s Two-Toned Duvet Cover?
As an interior decorator, I’ve had many years of experience working and talking with women about their homes. One of the things that kept coming up was that women were frustrated with changing their duvet covers in between washes. As we took a step back and talked to more people, it was true. No one is jumping for joy when it comes to washing their bedding or making their bed in the morning. Beyond beautiful and luxurious bedding, we realized that we had to bring value to the consumer and to her home. There was a clear market need for a product that simplified women’s lives but also was beautiful in the bedroom.
What are the benefits of the Two-Toned Signature Duvet Cover?
There are several. You not only get a look of a beautifully layered bed, but you also are also able to put on your duvet cover in half the time.
Tell me more about this patented closure and what it does.
Today, almost all products have the closure of the duvet cover toward the bottom of the duvet cover. Because the duvet cover is so big, it isn’t the easiest feat to stuff the comforter inside the duvet cover. By placing the closure toward the middle of the duvet cover, you are now able to place the corners of your comforter more easily inside the duvet cover.
What is your favorite signature duvet that you have designed?
We currently sell the Noe Green and Marina Blue as Signature Duvets and if I had to choose, I would say Noe Green. I love the color and elegant geometric pattern. This duvet looks amazing online, but it is even more amazing in person.
