GQ February Interview:
Selena was wearing super fun and cute swater with little hearts on it when she walked in our redaction. She sounded very happy and she looked like she walked straight outta paradise. She even gave me a present. It was a beautiful shell from Mediterranean Sea. It seemed like Selena came here just from her vacation on a yacht. She was very friendly and fun. I think I haven’t seen her like this in years. We talked a little bit and she told me some of her greatest adventures on this trip...
So, how are you feeling theese days when your vacation is over...
It’s great, actually, I’m feeling kinda better. A half year before, I was constantly sad, nervous, bored... Some people even though it was a depression. I mean, It wasn’t but I definitely needed a break from everything.
Then you decided to go cruising the Mediterranean Sea, so tell me a bit about this trip.
It was absolutely fantastic. I’ve never had that much fun in my life. I was surrounded by my favourite people, my band, best friends, even my sister Jenny was with us. We were on yacht for 4 months. Every night there was a pool party, game or movie night. It was trully a paradise. Plus, we saw some special places where we’ve never been, for example Tivat in Montenegro. it’s the most beautiful little town I’ve ever seen. And there wasn’t any paparazzies, only smart phone camera hahaaah!
What was your greatest experience for last couple of months?
The best, and the greatest experience is definitely getting to know new things, new people and new cultures. I filled my phone memory during this trip. I’ve actually taken at least 200 photos. And all of us were relaxed and no one was putting preasure on us. We were kind of isolated and that was good. It helped me a lot!
Can you name any bad thing about this cruise?
Well, I must say no. It was completely perfect. Except, some of the troubles we made, like when we left the post without Ashley. Those were the times... We made a great prank on her haahahah! We’re still young and foolish. We still make troubles. I mean, who doesn’t?
You had very great time there, but what are your plans now? You were always putting your career first. What will you be focuesed on?
Music. I started working on some very great songs there, so we will start with recording very soon. I am actually, so looking forward to see what will my ideas sound like when we bring them to life.
You finnished filming Butterfly. So how was it? How was the goodbye?
It was hard. I mean, I know theese girld since I was a pree-school, literally whole my life. We were spending so much time together and we know everything about each others. But, hand over heart it was time for the end. Our fans mostly grew up, we grew up, we filmed 12 Seasons, more than 300 episodes... I think Butterfly started getting on people's nervs. Besides, we have changed. We’re not interested in same things anymore. We are different in the Future. So, the show ended, and everyone is starting something new, something different, including even the boys. We’ll always be friends, and I will always love them but I think It’s time to move on.
Can you tell us something about the last episode of the show?
The last episode is called Butterfly fly away. It’s based on us, like every episode before. The show is ending in similar way. People are changing and nothing is for forever. Everyrhing we have is someday gonna be gone. That is one of the brutal thruths. Of course it’s sad, the end is even kinda tragic. But, it’s okay. No one knows what will happen...
So you think there is a chance that you will get together again and the Butterfly will continue?
There is always a chance. I am saying again, everything is possible. I’m not trying to make it happen, i just think that friendship like ours even on TV, can it be gone for forever.
Who was your favourite person on set? Say honestly!
It’s Carlos. He is a God. He’s funny, cute ad always honest. I think Ashley, Carlos, James and I will continue having an unseparable friendship. They’re the greatest. I love them so much!
And what was your favourite memory from Butterfly set?
It will probably be our Bufalo dance. It’s our tradition. The show is funny, the people are great, there’s a lot of positive energy. This whole experience, It’s unforgettable.
What is your message for Butterfly fans?
It’s OK! We’ll come back one day, I promise. Don’t freak out because the show ended. Stay strong , don’t leave the fandom, you always have option called Fan Fiction! You know, I know fangirls, I was one of them, fangirling 24/seven... It’s not over, I’m sure!
