The weather was perfect, the sea breeze gently caressing his skin as Benjamin lounged on the terrace, half asleep. He was waiting for Peyton, who could only met him two day after his arrival in Nantucket. It was his sister's wedding and the whole island was in a frenzy for it. Inviting Peyton to accompany him had been an obvious choice for many reasons, the first one being the fact that she was invited with or without him. She was a family friend and anyone who was anyone was invited and that included her family. That was one of the reasons Benji gave his family when they asked about his plus one. The other being that with his work schedule, dating was not something easily manageable. And while that was true, there was another factor behind that and it was Peyton. The two had been spending even more time together than they used to before, and a lot of that was spent without clothes on. Benjamin liked Peyton, more than he should and there was a part of him that was hoping that this could be the thing that took their relationship further. He was hoping that she would be his date, a real one, and not just as a friend. The man had rented a small house on the beach, further from the chaos of his family, so they could have some time to themselves. Knowing Peyton should arrived this afternoon, he had prepared champagne in a ice bucket and her favourite flowers were waiting next to it. Maybe it was a bit too much but he wanted to make this something special, to show her that he wanted more with her. Hearing the car, he swiftly got up and practically ran downstair to met Peyton. "You sure know how to make someone wait," he said with a teasing smile. "How was the drive?" Without waiting for her, Benji popped the trunk and took her luggage. "Did you pack everything you own?" he asked with a laugh.
