Carowinds and Kings Dominion renaming their Intimidator coasters to Thunder Striker and Project 305 respectively because their licenses to use the Dale Earnhardt Intimidator names expired was something I didn't expect to see today but here we are lmao
Both names are decent I guess but are definitely gonna take some getting used to. Thunder Striker sounds kinda clunky and basic (it's the double -er endings I think), and then Project 305 sounds more like the teaser campaign for a new coaster rather than the name of the completed ride itself. I like Project 305 a bit more tho. Hopefully the parks can keep some of the racing theming, even if they have to genericize it away from Nascar, because those themes made those rides all the more stand-out
