DAMMIT. I'm so bad at counting stuff like that and some of the numbers aren't there. XD. Don't judge me if I've messed up on the numbers!
1-How are you?I'm good! I'm eating dinner, and I'm always happy when I have food!
12-What is your eye color?Dark, dark brown
27-Do you have any “rules” about food? Yes. Yes, I do. If meat is not practically burned, I will not eat it, because I'm afraid I'll get food poisoning. Even if it's my mom or someone cooking. Generally I just avoid meat altogether.
42-What you want to be when you “get older”?A Costume Designer. My parents don't think I should go into this because it's not the most stable of careers. In the past few months I've been vacillating between nursing, biology, and costume design, but I think I've finally decided to just go for it because it's honestly one of the few things that I'm good with.
60-Do you have a facebook? If so, would you add the person who sent you this?Yes, I do, but I haven't used it in months. I'd add you, but you wouldn't see me active at all.
74-What are your favorite books?Wicked by Gregory Maguire. The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. Harry Potter, of course, and the list goes on and on!
86-What are the top five places you wish you could go before you die?
England
New York
Fiji
Australia
THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER
112-If your best friend died, what would you do?OH GOD. CRY. SOB. CRAWL INTO A PIT AND NEVER COME OUT AGAIN. ...And at her funeral I'd give a very meaningful speech about her and then end it with "AND FUCK YOU. SHE WROTE A NOVEL" because we agreed it must happen.
129-What’s the most superficial characteristic you look for [in a relationship]?I look and see if he has straight teeth...ORTHODONTIST'S DAUGHTER THROUGH AND THROUGH.
142-Anyone you’re giving up on?I'm slowly becoming okay with the fact that I will never be married to Ed Speleers. It's a tough realization, but I think I'll be alright in time.
160-Are relationships ever worth it?Honestly... for me right now, I don't think so. I mean... I'm eighteen, and I'm going off to college in a year far from home. So, no, probably not. Though I really wish I had a boyfriend just for cosplay reasons sometimes...
173-Why did your last relationship fail?Actually, I think it was because I spent too much time on tumblr and forgot that most people like to interact in person instead of on the internet...
186-Share a song that takes you to a certain memory in the past:La Vie Boheme from Rent makes me think of this time when my writing club all got together one night to watch the DVD of the play we wrote. Someone started singing La Vie Boheme, and everyone joined in and had their own parts. The best part was when my friends mom walked in. She didn't know it was us singing. She though we'd actually been watching the movie! :)
198-If you were an element on the Periodic Table, which would you be and why?NEON. Because I dunno...
210-What are you supposed to be doing right now?Researching colleges...Stop reminding me of my procrastination, tumblr!
Thanks for asking! I always love an excuse to procrastinate on my homework even more!!!!
Well I wasn't exactly tagged, but just so Beth knows that I actually do read her 'read more' things... =P
My questions
1. Favorite book and why?
I'm picking a series because I'm a rebel. MWAHAHAHA. A Song of Ice and Fire, by George RR Martin. =) I started reading the books like 3 years ago, and they just.....they're incredible. Amazing. The characters, the writing....just incredible. GRRM's writing is unbelievably perfect. It's descriptive without being flowery...and he is just so good at describing things. I know how stupid that sound, but he is. lol I mean, he described someone as being "chinless." Chinless. I don't even know if that's possible but for some reason, that one word gives you such a good idea of that character. The story itself is perfect. So beautiful and complex and just....ugh. Perfect. The characters are all so real- whether that's a good of a bad thing. None of them are perfect- they're all flawed, some of them majorly, but it's those flaws that make them so very human. And GRRM writes the characters in such a way that you can go from hating them and wanting them dead, to being your favorite character. I know that this is mostly dependent on changing points of view, but still. It's so interesting to see how reading something from a different person's point of view can completely alter how you see it. Plus, this is one of the few book series where I really don't expect any specific ending. Of course I have my headcanons (and I think they're amazing, but I'm biased. lol), but I know that everything I want could change, you know? In a single chapter, the whole fate of Westeros could be changed...
Actually, every chapter changes the fate of Westeros in a way. Maybe that's why it's so good. O_O
I also truly do love Twilight, but for different reasons. If you're ever interested in why I love a book series so many people hate, let me know and I'll defend it. XD
2. You only get to save one: Sherlock or John. Pick. evillaughter
John. Sorry. XD bahaha
3. Fave Joss Whedon…thing?
FIREFLY. A million times- Firefly. Have you ever seen it? It's perfect. It's wonderful. It had kinda a huge impact on me when I first watched it the summer between my freshmen and sophomore years in high school....I mean, if not for River Tam, god knows what my fashion would be like nowadays. lol I love that each episode is amazing- there's not one that I would want to skip every time I rewatch the series. They are all compelling and unique, while still telling a cohesive, larger story. I mean, this show is everything rolled into one. It has action, mystery, drama, romance, and my goodness, the humor. O_O I love it so much!! And, much like ASOIAF, it's the characters that drive my love. They are all so real, and their interactions are amazing and believable. One of my friends said that she wasn't a fan of the show, because the dialogue felt forced and unrealistic. But I couldn't disagree any more! To me, it is just so.......real. All of it. The things they say, the choices they make...the action of each character is so quintessentially them, and I just love that. They're just so real. XO I suck at synonyms, apparently. lol
4. You can only eat one food for the rest of your life. Choose wisely.
I'm guessing that just saying "Taco Bell" isn't acceptable? =P
5. If you could take one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
Ummmm......(/never read Harry Potter)...... that one with the eccentric lady with the tea leaves! =D I would choose this class partially because it's something unrelated to evil things...As far as I know, I wouldn't have to be fighting things. But taking that class would basically be teaching, like, clairvoyance and future-telling stuff, right? That would be pretty stupendous. Plus the teacher seems awesome. =D Oh! Or I'd take that Potions class!!!
6. Outside: is it really as bad as it seems? Discuss.
(ooooooooooh that sounds like an essay topic 8D)
Not necessarily. Despite the fact that leaving the house inevitably involves unpleasant things such as idiotic people, irritating insects, or sunburns, there are times when being out-of-doors can actually be quite enjoyable. =) Taking time away from work, school, or the internet to enjoy lunch outside as opposed to in the house can be a wonderful way to get a break from everyday life. Even leaving the house to go to a public place can have its benefits; human interaction, however annoying (at times), is something that I find I need to experience more often than I'd like. Even after staying in the house for a few days, I find myself getting restless and needing to speak to people other than my immediate family. When this happens, I find that a short trip to the nearby Taco Bell with my close friends is enough to get me through another day or two of slowly becoming a hermit. I do love staying inside, in many ways. I can wear what I like and sing as loudly as I want to without fearing what others might think of me. Usually, I relate being at home to having no obligations, so I see it as a place where I am free to do what I want. But, however much I love the comfort of my own home, I must admit that it's going outside and interacting with the world that brings the experiences necessary to grow as a person.
(holy crap it's been a long time since I've written anything essay-like. lol Clearly I no longer remember what I'm doing. XD)
7. Where is the best place that you’ve ever been on vacation?
The northern California coastal redwoods can be pretty spectacular. Everything is so pretty and green!! ^_^
8. If you could travel with the Doctor, where would you go first?
Sometime in the future, wherever he'd like to go. =) The future seems like a better choice than the past because I have no idea what to expect. Talk about an adventure! =D
After that, I'd go back to the early 1900's. In America. To an ice cream social or something awesome like that. And I'd wear a bustle. Just because. I don't even know if bustles were still in fashion at that time but I don't care because bustles are amazing.
9. It’s alright to wear flip flops all year long. Agree or disagree?
Indifferent. Personally, I disagree, but I really don't care what other people do. lol
But who am I to have an opinion? I live in boots all year. hahaha
10. Tom Hiddleston has ruined my life. Preemptively, he’s ruined yours too. Please elucidate.
Although Tom Hiddleston is quite attractive, he did, in fact, not ruin my life. I appreciate his lovely smile and the passion he has for each character he portrays, there is just no room for him in my life. After David Tennant, Flynn Rider, Peter Facinelli, the Once-ler, and the life-ruiner of all life-ruiners-- the combination of 3 of the aforementioned 4 life-ruiners-- my....friend, there is simply no more of my life left for him to ruin.
.....................
Wow that was long. Sorry Beth. I'm tired. Don't give me essay-like question when I'm tired and feeling education-deprived, okay? XD
Ugh, I can't believe it. I actually miss school. GROSS.
WHY HAVE I BEEN MISSING MATH HOMEWORK.
.....anyone want me to do their math homework? It sounds fun. lol
Lots of hugs for you, my dear! I hope that you feel better soon and in the meantime, know that your Tumblr friends are always here for you <3 You deserve all the best in life!
Thanks, dearie! I really appreciate all this love. You guys are the best. <3
