after posting some weird things to my blog for a long time I finally wanna introduce myself. my name is polina but I know it could be hard to non-russians to pronounce it so in this way u can call me by my nickname uni or lina whatever u like. I am inspiring by southern gothic aesthetic now after finished reading Donna's Tartt novel "the little friend". also love weird films w liminal spaces. my mostly loved film is "cracks" and my favourite actress is eva green. love mphfpc (almost 5 years in fandom) and other films and books that fells like fever dreams ( Alice in Wonderland, the nightmare before Christmas, penny dreadful etc.)

Hi, so I have already made an introduction post, but with this post I actually want to find some people that share my interests and are interested in finding friends. My first introduction post was more for people to get to know me, but like I said with this, I want to find something that could develop into a friendship of some sort, and therefore I am going to write a bit of a longer introduction about myself. So let's start. 

General information

I don't want to give you my real name, but if you like, you can call me Robin or Sam.

I am between 17 and 22, and it would be great if you were in the same age group as me.

I am Asexuel and Panromantic, although I never had a crush, so I am not completely sure about being Panromantic.

English is not my first language, as I am from Germany, but I am using a programme to help correct my grammar or spelling errors, because I am awful at those (even in German).

Books/Reading 📚

I really like reading books, especially fantasy, mysteries and Sci-Fi. Occasionally, I like to read books for younger children or romance books and I recently got a bit into Manga, but I have only read "Demon Slayer" (not finished jet) and "Deathnote" (just the first one right now) so far, and there are some others I am planning to read. Also, when I feel like it, I read some classics like "Romeo and Juliet", "A Midsummer Nights' Dream" or "Intrigue and Love"/"Kabale und Liebe", most of them in German.

My favorite books are "The School for Good and Evil", "Magnus Chase" (I also like all the others, but "Magnus Chase" is my favorite series), "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "A Good Girls guide to Murder" and "The Hunger Games".

I am currently reading "The Miser"/"Der Geizige" from Molière and after that I am probably going to read "The Sun and the Star". I do actually own a list of the books I still have to read, and a color-coded one for the books I want to read.

Movies and Series 🎬

When I don't read, I also like to watch movies or series. My favorite movie genre is horror, but I don't have anything against other genres, except movies that are too sexual. Besides horror, I kind of like watching movies for a younger audience.

My favorite horror movies are "IT Chapter 2", "Scream" and "Five Nights at Freddy's". Other movies I like are "How to Train your Dragon", "Hunger Games" and "Hobbit".

 Usually, I watch animated series or dramas and Action, although an animated series can also fall under those categories. 

My favorite series are "The Owl House" and "Gravity Falls". Other series I also watched, but don't count as my favorites, are "Miraculous", "Star against the Force of Evil" and "The Worst Witch". I also recently got back into "Criminal Minds". I watched till the 8th season and then paused for a while.

Drawing and Writing ✏️

I actually really like to draw, but I don't do it as often as I would like, which is the reason why I am not that good at it.

I also like making up stories, but I have not really gotten to the point of writing them. Like, I have written some short stories, but I never get to the big ones. Which is usually because I start planning the story and the characters, but then I get distracted halfway through with a new idea and then everything starts again.

Music 🎶

I actually listen to everything, except "Schlager". Usually Pop or Rock, but also Classics or Musicals and Movie soundtracks.

I take singing lessons and can play the Cello. I also know some Songs on the Recorder. I actually learned that in school, but I don't play it anymore, except for fun in my free time.

Other stuff 

I really like "Shoot from the Hip", because it is really funny and, honestly, the only kind of comedy I watch, besides "Scary Movie". My favorite longforms from them are "Green leaves on a Summer's Day", "Never give Annabelle a Gun" and "The unrelenting Aubergine". There are also some others I like, but I honestly haven't seen all of them, and I am bad at memorising all I have seen. 

Thanks to "Percy Jackson" and a real-life friend of mine, I am really interested in Greek mythology and also mythology in general. 

I like Vampires, not the Vampires from"Twilight", but the actual Vampire. I also had a Vampire-Phase as a kid.

I don't like "Harry Potter". I was a fan when I was younger, but I don't really enjoy it anymore. I actually made a post about why "Harry Potter" and the author are bad, if you are interested in that.

I am kind of shy, so I would appreciate someone who could start a conversation, because with my friends I am usually the one who has to start with writing them a message, but only if you are interested. Just introduce yourself in the comments, with your name (it does not have to be your actual name, just something you want me to call you), if you are my age, if there is something I like that you like too, maybe a question you have for me or if you want to know me better. Then maybe we can have a short conversation or something like that before both of us decide if we want to continue writing and after that we can DM each other if we want to. I have honestly never done this before.
