I was going through some documents that I needed to throw away and I came across this introduction writing one and dang, I really did come to snatch all the wigs. (transcript below cut)
Introduction Writing Practice
1. People are noy becoming dumber, just dumb people are able to be heard because of technology.
We live in an era of “fake woke” people and content that makes you want to burn out your eyes. We have seen the pages and pages of “People are Dumb” posts and wonder what is happening in this world that is causing basic mental capabilities to deteriorate. Fact of the matter is, nobody is getting any dumber. Humans have always been up to the same shenanigans, it is just that with higher access to technology, idiots are becoming more and more visible. It is through the actions of the past and prevalence of the se in the future that we find that People are not becoming dumber, just dumb people can be heard because of technology.
2. Professional wrestling should be considered a soap opera.
Since professional wrestling is staged and overly dramatic, there is absolutely no way it can be classified as a sport. When this idea is brought to light it becomes much more difficult to classify what exactly professional wrestling is, so either a new category must be set or we could squeeze it into television drama. Soap operas are a type of overly dramatic sitcom, and if we compare this to professional wrestling, we will find that there are many similarities to be discussed. Thus, professional wrestling should be considered a soap opera.
3. Cancel culture does not exist.
When somebody doesn’t like a celebrity, they’ll go to great depths to find a reason that everyone else should dislike them as well. These “haters” are often willing to dig through this person’s social media, old interviews, and other internet history in order to find a small detail that they can hold against them. It may sound crazy that people like this really exist, but it’s seen time and time again, especially through top social media platform. The idea of a cancel culture is built off of this trend and is a very real phenomenon that occurs regularly.
4. It is irresponsible for parents to have more than one child.
Parenting is a very personal thing that every single person develops as a skill independently from others and often, they get very offended when they’re questioned about the way they’re raising they’re children. Oftentimes, second children in families with more than one child have a lot more mental health issues than the other children and first children are statistically given more support and care than second children, thus it is simply cruel to expose kids to this opportunity of neglect. Therefore, it is irresponsible for parents to have more than one child.
