Introductions and Expectations

Before production, I was hoping to work all the tracks off of demos. I received two demos off of Matty (solo project), but Hinges did not have demos for their tracks. The aim was to get a live recording set up so I could use the demos to plan the track out, logistically and creatively. However, due to schedules and opening times of the studio, this was not possible as the band worked conflicting hours, both on weekdays and weekends. This resulted in a less organised approach. They had an upcoming show which I attended to listen to the tracks I was recording, and to introduce myself before production. This would save time during production as ideas were discussed and introductions were made (with a few beers being drunk).
