it’s the most wonderful time of the year from whoever has come up with that line. correction, it’s the most stressful time of the year for dena right now. it was the last around of getting final christmas gifts for beloved ones. okay, she was mostly to blame for the late christmas gift shopping but the female had been occupied with work. getting a job immediately out of college in new york for nylon magazine was a huge deal for dena. then again, all of her endless and sleepless internship summers had finally paid off. this was her chance to start off brand new and make a name for herself. plus, the one person that dena was especially close with had pushed her away. the brunette had fought on wanting to make their friendship work but it didn’t. with one chapter of her life closing, the female had opened up a brand new one in a new city and a new crowd of friends. what the disadvantage of the situation had to be that living in new york and working constantly was the reason dena was running in and out of stores in her hometown for close friends and family. she has been at this shopping for hours now and she was still running around for a few presents left. she looked like she should be casted in the film: confessions of a shopaholic, with the amount of bags she was carrying. surely, kids had such a high standards with presents and it made her sit back and wonder if she was ever like that. exiting yet around store with her arm filled bags, the female had turned around and heard the crinkle of her bags hit up against something. crap, she was praying nothing broke or else she would be extremely pissed. first, she needed to make sure whatever that was, if it was a person, was okay. turning slowly, but carefully around her eyes fell onto a familiar face which suddenly caused her eyes to widen. “sam?” she asked, aloofly to the other.
