POUNDERING      thorax      pairs      well      with      heavy      pants      pushing      past      lodged      throat.      knees      ache      &      burn      as      her      feet      drags      across      corridor      in      a      frantic      matter.      quick,      irked,      &      panicked      all      seem      to      surround      her,      which      causes      swift      turn      around      corner      nearly      resulting      in      body      colliding      with      another.      luckily,      she      is      able      to      lean      against      heels      of      her      feet      to      stumble      herself      in      place,      inches      away      from      other,      causing      her      hands      to      fly      up      on      her      side.      ❝            whew      !      oop,      SORRY      !        ❞      a      struggle      of      panted      words,      arm      flying      to      wrap      around      petite      torso     while      other      palm      grasps      knee,      a      stance      to      catch      wheezed      breath.            ❝            you      didn’t      happen      to      pass      ernie      here,      eh?      that      goon      thought      it’d      be      hilarious      to      throw      a      DUNGBOMB      in      th’      girls      bathroom,      i      just      spotted      him      seconds      ago      but..      ‘m      stamina,      not      so      good.        ❞

     He nodded slowly at her words. She was completely right, of course, both their lives had taken equally but opposing weird turns. Both had been thought dead at one point or another, and both had thought never to see Winterfell or one another ever again. Yet here they were, alive, together, and with at least some of their family still alive. Yet at the same time,  he felt a deep grief for the members of his family that had been lost to the war.

     He finally turned his gaze on his sister, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he remembered how he had longed to see her again. And now here she was, more beautiful than ever. Stronger than he had ever thought imaginable. A true Lady of House Stark.

     “Yes they have,” he said. He grabbed her hand for a moment, giving it a tight squeeze, before letting go again. Sometimes, he needed to make sure that she was no fever dream and was really there. “Though I thank the Gods, old and new, every day that he brought me back to Winterfell and you.”

     She stared at Theon, willing herself to say something, but unsure what exactly it was she wanted to say. “Theon... she whispered, reaching out and trailing her fingers down his arm, before lacing them through his. “Don’t say that...”

     It was still fresh in her memory, the moment Theon had expressed the same feelings she had been feeling ever since they had still all lived together at Winterfell. And now that she finally knew there was someone she could be happy with, he was going to give up his life? “I cannot allow it, I will not allow it.” Her fingers tightened around his as if she was going to keep him there by sheer force, despite knowing fully well he was much stronger than she was.

     “No, you cannot just leave me behind, not after what... Not after... what you told me. You cannot do that to me.” Tears welled up in her eyes, and one spilled down her cheek. She averted her gaze and wiped her cheek with her sleeve, not wanting Theon to see her cry. “I’ve lost everyone, I cannot lose you too.”
