There was a kind of ENERGY between that Paul had grown used to. It had been something he’d only ever experienced when it came to Daryl. Maybe that was the reason Paul was always DREW back to the older man. They hadn’t spoken for a couple of days, and while he knew that something was wrong, he wasn’t concerned with the reason. It hadn’t been until it got Maggie’s attention, that Paul knew he needed to speak with the archer. “I’m a lot of things, Daryl, but not a mind reader.” Of course his first words to the other, would be PLAYFUL and casual. “I’ve been trying to give you some space. It seemed like you needed it.”
Daryl bite back the grunt of disapproval that crawled up his throat. The older man felt a bit embarrassed; admittedly, very embarrassed, by how immature he had been acting. Like some fuckin’ teenager with the feelings he had, unable to sort out on his own. He had awkwardly had a conversation with Maggie a few days ago, which seemed to draw more light to what his feelings indicated, and Daryl wasn’t sure if he was ready to accept them. “Ya went out of that scouting mission on your own,” Daryl managed to grunt, hoping he sounded like his usual disengaged self. “Pretty damn stupid to do, especially rye'now. Shoulda asked me to back up,” // @intuitivc
