beautiful floral arrangements had been placed everywhere, the first guests were already talking excitedly over a glass of champagne and laurel stood a little by the side and looked at the clock. in a few hours the wedding would begin, then it would be final and she would have to forget her feelings for them. something that she had tried for years and never succeeded with. tense, she looked at the many faces, until now she hadn’t been able to find the future couple and time was slowly but surely running out for her. if she didn’t tell them today, she would never be able to, and certainly not be able to let go. she squeezed herself lightly through the crowd, walked up the stairs and through one of the splendid corridors of this estate. obviously, this wedding had to cost a lot, wherever you looked, it was like a fairy tale. it was the perfect day for everyone, except for her. and while she admired the paintings on the walls, she suddenly heard a voice, one of the staff had noticed that she shouldn’t be here, but before he could follow her, she had run away and promptly disappeared in one of the many rooms. she leaned her back against the door and took a deep breath. "that was close," laurel mumbled before she realized where exactly she had landed. namely, in the middle of the dressing room of the person she loved. what followed was an embarrassing silence at first, and then she put her hand over her eyes. "good to see you, although nobody should see you. wait, was it just if the partner sees you, with the bad luck?" she talked too much, knew it and still couldn’t stop out of nervousness. "i wanted to talk with you." which was the truth, because she had hoped to find them before the ceremony. laurel lowered her hand and smiled slightly, briefly she looked to the person she already found incredibly beautiful and today, even more radiant. "yeh, you really do look gorgeous," she said softly.
