I started watching Inuyasha when I was around 11 years old and automatically loved it. I still do. A few days ago I started to feel the need to draw and write about Inuyasha again ☺️
I started with the picture we saw on Kagome's album on Yashahime. I found the picture super cute but I wanted to change Inuyasha's and Kagome's faces and make priestess's clothes for her ✨
Hope you all like it! Feeling like I'm getting back to make some Inuyasha drawings again and my patterns too 🥰
(I found the background image on Pinterest, couldn't find the original author, just wanted to make clear I wasn't my property)
Chapter 17 of 41, I apologize if you find any translation errors.
THE PRINCE OF DEMONS AND HIS PROTÉGÉ
SIXTEEN.
She had left together with Kirara just after sunrise, after the priestess had finally revealed to her the name of the place where Sesshomaru's abode was located.
"Mount Kumotori... Sesshomaru I'm on my way, wait for me."
That human village was now far away and Mount Kumotori was getting closer and closer, his Sesshomaru was getting closer and closer.
She had left the backpack with the supplies to Kohaku because she was sure that it would have been more useful to him than to her, after all, in less than a day she would have reached that palace and Sesshomaru.
She had brought with her only a small bundle with little food, food that she would share with Kirara.
"Kirara let's stop and rest a bit" Rin said caressing the demon's back.
Kirara for all answer pointed downwards and when her feet touched the ground Rin felt a little better, even if as a child she had often flown with Ah-Un she always felt strange in the air, she preferred the ground, she preferred to touch the grass with her feet and feel the scent of flowers.
The sky was darkening and the clouds were gathering, clouds laden with water.
She reached into her bundle and pulled out some food, Kirara had come back small so it was easier and also much prettier.
"Kirara when you go back to the village stay close to Kohaku please. If I am ever reincarnated I will dedicate my next life to loving and protecting him but in this life...in this life for me there is only Sesshomaru."
Kirara rubbed her head on his face as if to comfort her and tell her: don't worry Kohaku will be fine, yet she still felt guilty for not being able to return his love.
Soon after the rain began, the ground soon turned to mud but the tree under which she and Kirara were standing was protecting them for the moment.
"Master Sesshomaru! Master Sesshomaru! Don't go away, it's raining a lot."
"Do you really think a little water can stop me Jaken?" asked Sesshomaru to the little Kappa who had been serving him for over a century now.
"No my lord but..."
"No but I want to go and train you stay here, today the guardians are agitated" said Sesshomaru, shortly after a bolt of lightning lit up the dark grey sky and a strange feeling took over, he felt something was wrong but he didn't know what yet.
For a few moments his mind thought about Rin, that something had happened to him?
But how could it be? Rin was in the village under the care of Kaede and Kagome and she knew full well that both of them would protect her, also in the village was Inuyasha not to mention Kohaku and Sango and the monk, no, Rin was fine but her mind couldn't stop thinking about her, not yet.
"Have you perhaps changed your mind my lord?"
In response Sesshomaru pulled his sword from its scabbard and walked out of the palace without turning back to his little servant.
Not long now, Mount Kumotori was there in front of her, it stood tall against the threatening sky rattled by lightning and thunder, she was really going to see Sesshomaru.
Her heart began to beat wildly and despite the freezing rain that had numbed her body she hadn't desisted from going after Sesshomaru, it wasn't like he was that close.
"We're almost there Kirara, come on."
Kirara was also wet and like Rin felt cold all over her body, Rin patted her to encourage her to continue certain that they would be warm and dry shortly, certain that Sesshomaru would welcome her even if she didn't know how yet.
In addition to the rain and the lightning, the wind had also risen making the journey even more difficult, Kirara and Rin were a bit tossed around in the air but they still kept going until finally in front of them appeared a palace or at least a top of the palace that seemed really suspended in the air.
"Kirara we made it!" shouted Rin and suddenly all the cold seemed to disappear from her body, she felt her blood boiling inside of her and her heart was beating wildly.
"Let's get down."
The demon obeyed Rin's request and slowly under an incessant rain she touched the ground again.
The girl came down from her back and tired and cold Kirara shrank back.
"Forgive me for making you so tired" Rin said and then took her in his arms, so her friend could rest and maybe with the warmth of her body she would be able to warm up at least a little.
He continued on foot holding her in his arms, in front of them stretched an immense forest and a little further away from there the gates of the castle of Sesshomaru.
With her heart still beating wildly she got closer and closer to the gates until two demons appeared in front of them, blocking the way.
"My name is Rin, I must see Sesshomaru" he said to the two demons.
"No one passes through here without Sesshomaru's permission" replied the demon on the right.
They were two Tengu, she was almost certain of it, she had seen them once before while with Sango they went to nearby villages to hunt demons.
"Sesshomaru knows who they are let me through."
"Go away human, otherwise you will die" said the left demon.
Their appearance was almost human but their noses were much longer and they had wings, Rin knew they were strong demons, much stronger than the spiders she had killed in the village she had been in just before.
"I'm not leaving without seeing this, get out of the way!"
In response the two demons laughed.
Rin set Kirara down on the ground and then pulled out her bow.
"Uhuh what do you think you're going to do with those arrows? Do you really think you can beat us? You? I'm telling you again little girl get out."
"No!" she shouted and then shot the arrow, an arrow that was easily deflected by those two Tengu who immediately splashed in the air.
The right Tengu pulled out a spear and hurled it at Rin hitting her in the thigh, screaming the young girl slumped to the ground and then the left Tengu used his favorite tactic, illusions.
The world created by the illusion was so real that for a few moments Rin forgot the pain, Sesshomaru was there next to her, she could almost feel his warmth but his face... his face was a little different.
She had rarely seen him smile, then she felt another blade pierce her flesh, this time it was her right arm just above the elbow.
She screamed at this she was sure but it was as if she couldn't hear her own screams in that muffled world she had ended up in.
"Master!"
"Jaken what do you want now?"
"The Tengu...something strange is happening my lord."
But just before Jaken finished speaking the wind that blew in addition to the heavy rain brought Sesshomaru a smell he never wanted to smell again, the smell of his Rin's blood.
"This smell... no it can't be!"
His mind was projected to the worst, could his nose possibly have been mistaken? Could he really have been fooled by his fears to the point where he could smell Rin's blood? He had to know the truth and so still with his sword in his fist and all wet he flew away towards the entrance of his palace.
The two Tengu were covering his view but when he got even closer he saw Rin on the ground wounded and bleeding, tears wet her face it wasn't just rain.
"Rin!" he shouted bowing to take her in his arms, "Stop it! Make the illusion stop!"
The two Tengu looked at the dog demon and then at each other, finally they obeyed Sesshomaru's orders.
"Rin! Rin come on wake up!" he said holding her to him and wiping her wet face.
Slowly his little human opened her eyes, eyes tired and in pain.
"Rin" he called to her relieved.
"Se-sshomaru. No you're not really here."
"I'm here instead," he replied, then took his small hand and placed it on her wet face, Rin smiled at him despite the cold that was seeping into her bones and the wounds that were bleeding profusely, then still smiling she let go and closed her eyes again.
