Another AU idea you can steal if you want ! It's called the "half-demon online community AU" ! And it's vaguely inspired by a half-demon Bobby fic I read some time ago (mainly the "Rumi can't be the only half-demon" part)

(it's called "learning when to show my fangs" or something, and it's on AO3. Really good fic, if you want to give it a read)

- KPDH AU where some demons risk their lives to get away from Gwi-Ma. All of them end up killed by Gwi-Ma at some point. Some of them leave half-demons behind.

- Those half-demons end up creating online spaces to help each other, share tips on demon things no human could help with, share memes, find ways to avoid the hunters, or, if they're fans, what's the most effective way to cover the patterns if they're going to a concert, etc. Most humans think they're just roleplaying or something, so they're not even that hidden.

- Celine is actually aware of their existence, but, being Celine, she does not trust them, and doesn't inform Rumi that there are other half-demons out there. She does read some of the tips though. How else is she going to know if Rumi needs a specific diet ? She leaves them alone because they're still half-human, and they don't seem to be planning anything nefarious.

- After a while, it actually helps in taking down some of the prejudices she has. She actually starts having some respect for the demons who decided to take their things and run, instead of working for Gwi-Ma. Not that she would ever admit it out loud though. She feels bad for what she did to Rumi's father but, again, represses the hell out of it. (Your faults and fears must never be seen, after all) At this point, not telling Rumi is so ingrained in her habits she doesn't even consider telling her.

- Some time before the movie starts, Zoey, after falling in an internet rabbit hole on demons sightings and references in mythology, finds the online community, and immediately realises, oh, this actually the real deal what the fuck.

- She immediately informs Mira and Rumi, and they start reading the posts, etc. For months, they just observe, while losing their minds collectively. Then they decide to actually post something, like

"Hey, we're the hunters of this generation, we're really really really sorry we were taught to kill everything with patterns and you were made to be constantly fearing for your lives because of us. You don't have to be afraid anymore, we're not going to kill you."

Cue, the half-demons in the comment section losing their fucking mind.

- And Celine replying to the post with

"Oh yeah I've been reading the posts on here for a while, I might not trust you but I'm not going to kill you."

Cue, the comment section under her comment losing their fucking mind. Again. Because with the new hunters, they seem nice, and open to changing their mind if shown information that contradicts what they've been taught, but Celine ? Celine ?! What do you mean Celine isn't going to try and kill them ?

- Cue the HUNT/X responding under Celine's comment, because ??? She knew there were half-demons out there ? And didn't tell them ??? What the hell Celine ! They could have killed someone !

- Ends up with an early pattern reveal from Rumi, because she saw the girls' reaction to the existence of half demons and isn't so afraid anymore.
