How I see Dib in the future. I forgot to draw any pattern on the T-shirt, unfortunately. But the boy is growing up, and he'll probably grow up and be smarter.

One of the other lesser talked about things I love about Invader Zim is how Dib, especially in the episodes that spent more time at Skool, had a huge habit of giving us bits of his other “leads” and investigations, and it was impossible for us the audience to tell from the false positives from the truely batshit reaches. Dude was casually dropping hunches like

- A whole family of vampires living within a block or two of his home at some point

- One of his classmate’s parents secretly being a yeti

- One of the nearby rooms in his school keeping a vampiric gerbil as a class pet he’s still working on getting photographic proof of

- Bigfoot once appearing in his garage and using the belt sander

- Being stung by a vampiric bee which caused him to eat large amounts of honey at some point in time

- Whatever else I’m forgetting I’m sure people are gonna bring up in the notes so long as it was offscreen and in the same vein

And like, vampire bees at least were confirmed right after that point to exist, so it’s a plausible claim. The rest though we have literally no hint or tell to go by in determining if Dib is just some kind of magnet for the most insane stuff happening in his town carrying the same curse as Candace from Phineas and Ferb, or if he is genuinely a menace upon society just as off his rocker as everyone claims who happens to nail things like real aliens down in the process. And I really mean you could run this either way because of how nuts the setting itself is. Even Zim gets the occasional ham demon or zombie themed side quest.

If even 30% of the kid’s claims are wrong or exaggerated though, it looks really bad and concerning on Dib’s part. If ALL of them are true, then living in his world actually sounds like a beyond stressful and confusing ordeal that suddenly justifies so much of the general fear towards it on Zim’s part… and still makes Dib look the crazier for how desensitized he is to it all.

Even though Dib in my Au is taking care Zim because he feels bad. Does not mean he doesn't have some horrible reasons to go along with his good one. Firstly he wants to be able to document the process. Like body is full on cutting Zim open when he's asleep (Zim only sleeps because his PAK malfunctioning) and sewing him back up. Also he wants to be able to fully have access to Zim's PAK once Zim dies. So yes he feels bad and would eventually realize how much his life sucks now after Zim dies but he's still not the most morally correct in his ways
