In a universe where everyone is born with numbers on their wrists counting down to when they’ll meet their soulmate, send me 00:00:00 for my muses reaction to their numbers hitting zero when they meet yours.
Tick tock, tick tock. The sound of the clock felt like it was louder than usual, like the sound was in her head. Despite the fact that the count down on her wrist was silent, Diana could swear every clock around her was louder than the one before. It was maddening. Hold yourself together Diana. Such a thing was ridiculous to get worked up about, but here she was. She shook her head and decided she would go for a walk. Fresh air would get her mind off it all. Diana quickly changed into a simple blouse and a pair of black pants before walking out her door and heading out to explore.
Making her way down the street, she took in the sounds of the city. Gotham wasn’t her first idea for a vacation, but here she was exploring the great city on her own. What had compelled her to visit, she wasn’t sure. Perhaps it was the city’s rich architecture, or maybe it was the more obvious masked hero that caught her attention. Either way, she was here, and her clock was ticking.
As the amazon continued to walk, she took a moment to appreciate the beauty of the city lights. A mixture of city lights and the shining moon made for a breathtaking view. It was beautiful sure, but Diana was no fool. Gotham was as dangerous as it was beautiful.
“Oof!” She was suddenly pulled from her thoughts when she accidentally walked right into a stranger.
“Oh, I’m so sorry. Are you alright?” she asked, looking up at the man she had bumped into. An innocent mistake sure, but she should have been paying more attention to where she was going. Diana gave a small, apologetic smile at the man before her. He was quite handsome, tall, and he looked to be of some importance by the way he was dressed. She was about to speak once again, but was cut off when she suddenly noticed her wrist. The numbers had come to a halt. She slowly raised her hand, looking down at the numbers clearly marked on her skin. 00:00:00

“Santigold--” A polite correction from her as her head cants to the side. She’d only heard whispers about Mr. Wayne per the ladies that did their very best to avoid the woman in red. A statement or two about the neckline of her evening gown floated through the circles of gossip. Champagne is accepted, fingers gripped loose around the stem of the glass.
“I can turn around if you’d like to admire the back of my dress too...” A laugh comes from her as she takes a sip, polite smile coming to her features.
“Gracias-- for the drink, Señor Wayne… an’ no, I’ve been here for some time. This is only the first charity event I was able to attend personally. As for dinner, we’ll just have to see, hm?”
you're terribly good looking and wonderful* fixed.

@invengeance "Jason, listen to me!"
It was only the quickest flash of anger, like the sparks from a match, that washed through him as he heard Bruce speak.... but any spark can lead to a flame. “What. What do you want?” Jason replied, his tone reserved and calm, at least compared to Bruce, stopping in his tracks as he was walking away.

Elektra opened her eyes and looked up at him, both eyebrows raised as she watched his face as if half demanding he stop lying to her. She looked into his face. He wore his exhaustion well, but it was still evident on his face. It was hard living two lives, she was sure of it. For a moment she wondered if in less than ten years time the double life would catch up with Matthew in just the same way.
Pushing the thought of her ex-lover out of her mind and focusing on the current one, Elektra reached forward grabbing his wrist. One sharp tug and it was easy to remember this woman, with all her beauty and grace was something deadly and strong. She brought her lips to his, hands cupping his face as she kissed him. Her kiss was passionate, and hungry, hands pushing into his dark hair.
“Would you like me to kill you Mr. Wayne? Because if it will spare you the torture of a long day at the office, I’d be gracious enough to put you out of your suffering,” she teased.
