Once Upon A Time....
Once upon a time,
There were two twins
Now, one did not know of the other’s existence
Most likely because they did not exist yet
So they continued on in blissful ignorance
They continued on until they were unable to
Until their ties to their not-so-little-anymore world was severed
Not by their hand, of course
They’ll always miss their friend
With this, the little catbird’s twin was born
The Void Hummed for them
For the Void sings for no one but themself
But they will Hum for this little being
This little being They molded from the ashes of their twin
This little twin was born with only the remnants of memories
They were born with one thought on their mind
To do as they please
So this little twin went around this new not-very-little world
And found the little catbird
The little catbird had holed themself up
They had hid themself until they met others
The little catbird knew not to get attached,
But that is so much harder in practice, of course
So they got attached
The little catbird made new friends
The little catbird and their new friends grew Stronger
And at last, they could hear the Earth Sing to them
The little catbird could hear the sweet siren song at last
And they were at peace
Until their little twin showed up, of course
The little twin was frustrated at no one seeing them
The little twin wanted to cause Chaos
Of course, the little catbird could not let this pass
And so, they fought, as all siblings do
And the little twin lost, being so New and Young
They were sent to the Void, where they could no longer hurt others
Locked away, the little catbird threw away the key
And hoped that they wouldn’t come back.
