2. Stole your character’s lunch. (feat. Fork the Ditto)

Fork eyed the strange trainer from its hiding place in the bushes. Technically, it was eyeing the trainer’s lunch, which looked far more delicious than anything Crane could get on the road. 

And Selenium may have dared Fork to steal a bite once Crane had become distracted by a quick nap. 

Okay Selenium had totally dared Fork. And Fork was never one to turn down a challenge. All it had to do was to transform into something with a little more hunting power, like a Noctowl! It had seen Noctowl swoop and catch unsuspecting prey before.

One transformation later, Fork attacked! 

...only to loose form mid-flight and splat right next to the trainer. Oops. Poor little Fork still didn’t have the hang of this whole “transformation” thing.

        Nanab trees were rare around these parts. That much Izzy knew. To her, they used to be a treat to find, as Séra would make her wonderful pastries with the banana-like berry. Now, harvesting as many as she could off of this tree would be the closest she could get. 

        She had, fortunately, a decent amount of luck with the nearby Pokémon. Those who tested her hadn’t been all that strong, but there were the few who simply moved along--she had gotten there first.

        Izzy had climbed the tree by hand, easily chopping off berries with her tail and dropping them into a pile nearby. It wasn’t until she heard footsteps that she paused, ears twitching at the wind.

        A human.

        Under normal circumstances, she would simply flee. But in this case, she was unwilling to leave behind all of her hard work. She lept out of the tree to reveal herself, cheeks sparking dangerously as she took an offensive stance.

       ❴“Leave!”❵ A simple threat she was more than willing to back up. Growling harshly, she eyed the man, hoping she wouldn’t have to put up too much of a fight.

       ‘Mime Mime Mime! Mime Mime Miiime~!’

        Even though the pair largely lived alone in the Ketchum household, there was, thankfully, always something to do. Delia hummed along with Mimey as he swept the patio--sweeping being his favorite activity--and she knelt bent over her flower bed. Spring was here, and she had to take care of her lovely blooms!

       ‘Mister Mime?’

        Delia looked up at the inquisitive sound of Mimey’s name, knowing full well that that usually meant something unexpected had caught his attention. None too much to her surprise, there was a stranger at her gate.

        “Oh! Hello. May we help you?”

        Antonio, who was not yet ready to give up on being brushed, leaned his head back against Lila’s chest, cooing at her softly to continue. This kind of time was precious to him--although he was Lila’s first Pokémon, he often felt his time was less appreciated than the time of the alternate-colored Pokémon they had captured along the way.

        “Antonio,” she teased. “You know there are others who need a turn.” But hell, she couldn’t resist those eyes. “...I suppose you could use some moisturizer, hm?”

He couldn’t believe children these days. They believed they could always just WALTZ right into any situation that they deemed that they needed to be apart of and fix it. Well, he wouldn’t have that, not yet. He has came way too far for his plan to be ruined.

He leaned back in his seat, watching the small group running frantically through corridors on the screen. He knows better not to underestimate them. He had work with them before. He knows how they think, how they battle, they’re weaknesses. He knows just how to get rid of them and who to get rid of first.

He leaned forward slightly, pressing a button and speaking into an intercom.

He laughed, releasing the button on the intercom, and moving his finger to the keyboard, once again pressing another button. His grin widening as the ground swallowed them whole, having the kids fall to their doom, to be lost in a dark abyss.

Removing his finger, he turned his chair a way from the screen, and got up, walking towards the door. He would love to sit and watch them struggle, however, he had much needed work that needed to be done.
