Inverted tulip or weeping bride; Crying for those who do not meet their loved ones, crying for those who are far from their love, for those who are separated for the sake of traditions, when Jesus was curicified the weeping bride was the tears of Mary and cried... I have seen these beautiful inverted tulips in high East Anatolia mountains last week. They last only a month and as I have learnt from villagers these tulips were more red only a week ago. They are called as " Inverted tulip" because the flowers look at the soil. There are different tales about inverted tulips in Anatolia region; Inverted tulips were named as " weeping tulip " because drops were poured into the soils from their leaves early in the morning. In the past, the reverse tulip, which is also called as 'Weeping Bride', referring to the bride's throwing red cheesecloths on their heads while leaving their homes.
